Finally finished all my CPE for the year. Only need 15 hours per year, however 2 have to be in Ethics, 10 in federal tax law and 3 of federal tax law updates. Well....I looked and realized I had 4 hours of ethics, 40 hours of tax law and -0- hours of tax law updates... Had to hurry and take a quick 3 hour course. I'll do better next year!

Keeping our Hawaii counterparts in our hearts after the awful devastation they have faced.

IR-2023-151, Aug. 18, 2023 — The IRS today announced expansive tax relief for Hawaii wildfire victims in Maui and Hawaii counties. These taxpayers now have until Feb. 15, 2024, to file various federal individual and business tax returns and make tax payments.

IR-2023-150, Aug. 17, 2023 — As the new school year begins, the Internal Revenue Service reminds teachers and other educators that they’ll be able to deduct up to $300 of out-of-pocket classroom expenses for 2023 when they file their federal income tax return next year.
