This series started with me standing in line at the post office on 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟲…⁣

And ended today with the IRS finally sending the direct deposit on 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬.⁣

Moral of the story:⁣
⁣
👉🏽 𝘼𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡e!⁣

File early.⁣
Handle issues before filing.⁣
And work with someone who understands how to navigate problems BEFORE they turn into delays.⁣

A mailed return is never my first choice.⁣

A follow-up check of the IRS system still shows no visibility of the return.⁣
⁣
At this stage, it’s important to clarify:⁣
⁣
A lack of update does not indicate an issue.⁣
⁣
It typically means the return has not yet been opened and entered into the system.⁣
⁣
This remains part of the intake phase for mailed returns.⁣
⁣
Understanding this distinction helps prevent unnecessary concern during the waiting period.

And…

Before anybody panics 😅

That does NOT mean something is wrong.

It simply means:
👉🏽 It hasn’t been entered into the IRS system yet.

Once it is… that’s when things start to move.
