Hello! My name is Ashley and I sincerely thank you for joining my first page! My website is still in the works, as I am a new mother as well as a full time bookkeeper. This has proven to be a very intricate and time consuming task for somebody as left brained as myself! I anticipate the site to be up and fully operable by the end of 2024, and I welcome all suggestions and criticism as I move through this process.
In the meantime, here's an informational background post for those of you who don't know my background. I warn you, it is a long read, so grab a snack and some coffee before hand:
I first started my professional career with and office administration role in 2013 with a CPA Firm consisting of two CPA's, one EA and two soon-to-be CPA's. This initially posed as a job to get my bills paid as I pursued prerequisite courses to get my degree started in the medical field.. The more I learned each day at work my curiosity and passion only grew.
I woke up one day this summer, straight out of left field, and told my parents I was leaving the medical career goals behind and changing my major to accounting.
In 2014, I accepted an office management and entry level bookkeeping position with a smaller firm, consisting of just one EA. This EA became my tutor during college, as well as my mentor.
In 2016, my boss, tutor and mentor moved to CA. I formed Balanced and Reconciled, LLC at this time, as my services were offered to their clients who didn't want to work remotely with herfor their monthly and weekly bookkeeping needs.
In addition to starting my first business, I was also then hired by another firm, also with just one EA. There were only three of us at the beginning of my employment, and five of us by the time I left this firm.
My initial roles in this firm were admin, reception and bookkeeping. As the Firm's exponential growth remained consistent, I quickly added office management, tax account resolution, notice correspondence and entry level tax preparation to my daily office roles.
I learned more about tax law and tax return preparation than I ever have before while working under this EA and in 2017, I decided to pursue my business full time, as I had accrued the clientele needed to make this move.
Now it is 2024, and I have rebranded my business name and model in order to embrace and adapt to the virtual working aspects spontaneously introduced to many small businesses in 2020, after forming my business in 2016.
In Line Virtual, LLC is a bookkeeping firm that offers a wide range of virtual office services; both short term and long term. Whether it's keeping daily or weekly invoice/payment records, establishing a shared e-file system or creating imperative spreadsheets, I am confident that In Line Virtual can continue to benefit small business owners who want to welcome the virtual working experience into their office as it becomes more attractive to employees.
I really enjoy what I do, and I love helping other business owners in any way that I possibly can! I may be a small firm, but I am accompanied with big ambitions and an infinite amount of passion. I am always looking for more colleagues to add into my professional circle, so please reach out if you think we would make a good networking fit!
I love the wide range of services between all of my clients and most of the time I am THAT GUY who always seems to "know a guy" in any industry when asked! I would love to trade business cards and/or website info for anybody interested in networking.
