I don't hear ANYONE complaining about spending too much money and too much time in the years of raising kids and being in the heart of life.
It's always the opposite.
The ones who over-saved and lived frugal waiting for "someday" are often the ones who look back and wish they'd gone home earlier, thrown the baseball in the yard more, taken the extra trip.
Nobody HAS EVER sat across from me and said: "I'm so glad we didn't take that family vacation."
Not once.
What I hear is the opposite.
- They wish they'd gotten home a little earlier.
- Thrown the baseball in the yard more.
- Made the trip happen instead of pushing it to next year.
There's a version of "responsible saving" that quietly costs you the years that matter most.
