Analysis:

The government promised to forgive loans if people worked for the government for 10 years and for other reasons.

It seems a small percentage of loans qualified.

People were duped. The loan servicers treated the non eligible as eligible. So it felt like the ineligible loan should have been forgiven. Instead, people racked up greater debt.

And now you have it. These people deserve the discharge and is different than the rejection from the Supreme Court.

The Biden administration announced it would automatically cancel education debt for 804,000 borrowers, for a total of $39 billion in relief.
