What's it like to have a (825 Credit Score) Very high credit score?
It’s like being a white male — life is a lot easier for you than for others (incidentally, white males have the highest credit scores).
As an example, when I wanted another Mercedes, I got approved online at the best rate 3.9%, then i found my car at a lot in another state, thousands oaks , Ca, I drove a rental there, 4hrs drive from Las Vegas, went to kinko printed insurance,. Then I drove to Mercedes in Thousand Oaks, Ca). When i got there they already had me preapproved for a mercedes amex card ( I already had a different amex card limit over $25,000+). I was in the dealer approximately 20 minutes and left with my new Mercedes S550. They never even called my Real Estate Company to verify employment,
If want to buy electronics, even though I have the cash, I will get an offer to buy it on credit with no interest for two years. I’ll be instantly approved for the credit, because of my high score, and the limit will be ridiculously high, like $10,000 -20,000 for a $1200 TV.
This lets me use my cash to make money but, I set aside the cash I was going to pay with and use a 0% percent offer to purchase and I'll pay it off before the interest period kicks in. . So now what do I have? I have 18 months - two years of on-time payments and my overall credit utilization is lower because of the crazy limit of which I’m using $0. Also invitations for Platinum and Black Cards.
Did your refrigerator die? No problem, here is an interest-free credit card to pay for it over 1 1/2 - 2 years, even if you could pay up front. The person with the low credit score, has to buy a refrigerator and pay up front, leaving no money for food or,they have to put it on a high-interest card, giving them more debt.
Having a high credit score gives me a very unfair advantage in life while at the same time making it easier for me to have an even higher score. I can live in neighborhoods that are great and safe. I get free upgrades at hotels to suites, i can get tickets to "sold out" events. I regularly get offers for loans and other high limit no fee cards. i can take advantage of a good deal or investment when i see it.
I've even bough cars at auction with these zero interest cards and drove then sold the car within a months or year, but well before the 18- 24 month offer has expired. These are just some of the things.
