🎃 From Bloodshot to Brilliant: Turning Setbacks Into Strategy

A few days ago, I had an unexpected eye injury that left me with a horrifyingly blood-red eye. It looked so bad that everyone winced when they saw me!

But here’s the thing: it’s Halloween week. And I love a great costume!

So instead of hiding it, I decided to own it. My makeup artist leaned in, amped it up, and made it part of my costume. Suddenly, something that looked awful became the perfect prop.

And it hit me — this is exactly what leadership is about.

As CEOs and business owners, we all face those moments when something unexpected happens — a deal falls through, a key person leaves, or a plan unravels overnight. The instinct is to cover it up or control it.

But what if, instead, we leaned in and used it?
What if every red-eye moment was a chance to innovate, to laugh, to show resilience?
