TAKING BREAKS, TIREDNESS, WON’T WORK.
Why is it so important for children in a Montessori elementary class to take breaks when they’re feeling uninspired, especially when they’re not engaging with their work as they should.
You’ve probably seen it…right? —sitting there with a math equation or a blank page, zero interest; moving around aimlessly and their mind just shuts down.
That’s a signal.
It’s a sign.
Take note.
Children aren’t machines; they can’t power through their activities endlessly without hitting a wall.
