Blessed Samhain. ✨

(And happy Halloween to those of you here for the candy. I’m here for both.)

Samhain marks the end of the harvest and the turn into the dark half of the year. It’s a threshold. A time to remember those who came before us and to look honestly at what’s ready to be released.

I love that it lands right as the business year starts winding down.

Because the same questions apply:

What did this season actually produce?
What has come to completion?
What am I still carrying just because it’s familiar?

An offer that no longer fits. A system you’ve outgrown. A story about money you’ve been repeating for years.

You don’t have to force anything out the door tonight. Just notice what’s asking to be let go, and make a little space for what comes next.

The dark half of the year isn’t empty. It’s where wisdom gathers before anything new begins.

October is Women’s Small Business Month, and I don’t want it to slip by without this. 💗

So many of the women I work with are building something brilliant. They’re running their business, serving their clients, managing their money, and spreading their inspired vision with the people who need it most… usually all at the same time, and usually without much applause.

So let’s give them some. 👏

Tag a woman-owned business below. Your favorite local shop. The coach who changed how you think. The friend who just launched. Or your own business (yes, self-promo is welcome here today ;)

Then go follow a few of the ones other people tag. A follow, a share, a comment… it adds up more than you think.

Some tasks feel more frightening than they really are simply because they’ve been sitting on your plate, unfinished, sneakily growing teeth. 👹

The books you’ve been meaning to catch up on, payroll reports, W-9 collections for 1099s filing, year-end financials, the 2027 plan that keeps getting pushed to “next week.” Ahem. ⌛

Here’s the thing about delegating, my lovely little procrastinator: it doesn’t mean you can’t do it. It means your energy is better spent somewhere else. 💡

I totally missed Boss’s Day last week.

Which, as a boss, feels pretty on-brand. 😅

Being the boss means you’re the one making decisions, solving problems, answering emails (my personal nemesis), and keeping every moving piece moving… 1,000 hats syndrome.

So consider this your belated reminder to give yourself some credit.🫶

You built something meaningful. You keep showing up for it, even on the days when your capacity is at its max & your dream biz feels heavier than you thought it would.

It's all worth it, promise.

Good financial systems can do some of the remembering, tracking, and recurring work for you. And when life changes your capacity, the right structure can help the essential parts of your business keep moving.

That’s why I think of financial systems as accessibility tools.

But financial systems are only one piece of the architecture.

Your money, strategy, processes, capacity, energy, and actual life all affect the way you’re able to build and lead your business.
