ACA sign-ups open tomorrow. Georgia premiums rise up to 29%, and the IRS payback cap is gone.

The latest: Open enrollment for 2027 starts Nov. 1 in most states. KFF reported Oct. 30 that benchmark silver premiums rise 13% on average, and Yahoo Finance reported Cigna is leaving all 11 of its ACA states.

By the numbers:
- Georgia Access rates: up 11% to 29%, average near $932 a month (AJC, state data)
- 20 million of nearly 23.1 million 2026 sign-ups got subsidies (CMS, via Yahoo Finance)
- Repayment limits on excess advance credits: gone from tax year 2026 (IRS)

Who it applies to: People buying marketplace coverage. The IRS says anyone whose advance credit tops their final credit repays the entire excess.

Is your 2026 income running above what you told the marketplace?

The latest: The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported labor's share of nonfarm business output at 52.8% for the second quarter, the lowest in a series that starts in 1947. Fortune and CNN revisited it this week; new data is scheduled for Nov. 5.

By the numbers:
- 52.8%: second quarter of 2026
- 53.6%: the quarter before
- 66.2%: the record high, late 1960

The other read: Goldman Sachs' Abhay Duggirala tied part of the drop to pass-through tax rules and depreciation. The Tax Foundation's narrower count stays within historical levels, CNN reported.

Who it applies to: workers in the U.S. nonfarm business sector, as BLS measures it.

Tesla made billions in the U.S. in 2025. Its current federal income tax bill: $0.

Who it applies to: Fortune 1000 and S&P 500 companies that were profitable in the U.S. Tax deferred to later years is not counted.

The latest: Amazon reported third-quarter profit of $20.7 billion on Oct. 29, but its free cash flow over the past 12 months was an outflow of $42.4 billion, according to the company's earnings release. - Operating cash flow, 12 months: $168.3 billion
- Free cash flow: +$14.8 billion a year ago, minus $42.4 billion now
- 2026 capital spending plan: about $220 billion

Who it applies to: Amazon shareholders, and any owner who has watched profit on paper and cash in the bank tell two different stories.
