What qualities should you actually look for in a Realtor?

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to share a few qualities that I believe matter most when choosing someone to represent you.

First up: Commitment.

Real estate isn't always smooth. Deals hit bumps. Inspections raise questions. Appraisals come in. Negotiations get tough.

The best Realtors don't disappear when things get complicated. They stay engaged, communicate clearly, and keep working toward the goal.

Whether you're buying your first home, selling a longtime property, or somewhere in between, commitment matters.

Because when challenges show up, that's when representation really counts.

Lakefront living at 16 Shore Rd in Patchogue. Closed.

Not every home search follows a straight line, and this one certainly didn't.

My buyers spent quite a bit of time searching on their own before we connected. Once we started working together, we explored several opportunities, adjusted our strategy when needed, and stayed focused on the end goal. Like many buyers in today's market, there were a few twists and turns along the way, but patience and persistence paid off.

In the end, they found exactly what they were looking for: a beautiful waterfront home where they can enjoy the views, make memories, and start an exciting new chapter.

Congratulations to my buyers. Thank you for trusting me to help guide you through the process. Wishing you many happy years ahead at the lake.

Most people know Robert Moses for the beach, but just beyond Field 5 stands the Fire Island Lighthouse, one of Long Island’s most recognizable landmarks.

The original lighthouse was built in 1826, and the current tower has been guiding ships along Long Island’s south shore since 1858. At 168 feet tall, it remains one of the tallest lighthouses in the United States.

Pretty amazing to think this piece of Long Island history has been standing watch over the coast for well over 150 years.

Have you ever made the walk out to the lighthouse or climbed to the top?

Congratulations to my buyer on closing on her new home in Sunken Pond, Riverhead. It’s always exciting to help someone take the next step and start a new chapter.

Whether you’re buying your first home, moving up, downsizing, or thinking about selling, I’m here to help throughout Brookhaven and the North Fork.

Wishing my buyer many happy memories in her new home.

Ever switch commutes with your wife?

Today I traded my usual eastbound drive for her westbound commute and yeah… I’ll stick to my Brookhaven and North Fork drives.

But this drive had a good ending. Congratulations to my clients on closing on the Patchogue Lake House today.

Patchogue really is one of those towns people fall in love with.

I was driving down Edwards Avenue in Calverton when I came across this hidden Peconic River paddle access spot.

Turns out there’s a whole system of canoe and kayak trails running through the Pine Barrens, and paddlers actually go right under Edwards Avenue here.

Pretty cool hidden Long Island spot. Definitely makes me want to come back with a kayak.
I want to know more.
Has anyone done these trails before?

Today the beach became the office for a little while. One of the best parts about being a realtor with a laptop is being able to work from just about anywhere.

Now tonight, I’m heading to a Signature Premier Properties networking event. What I love about events like this is it helps expand my reach all across Long Island, not just Brookhaven and the North Fork. Building relationships with other agents means more connections, more opportunities, and ultimately better service for my clients.

If you think knowing what lights to turn on is easy, think again.

Having the room for a large double sink in a kitchen is always a nice touch. Plenty of space, functional, and it can really change the overall feel of the kitchen.

If you had the room, which sink and faucet combo would you choose? Let me know in the comments
