Life rarely stays the same for long, and your financial plan shouldn’t either.

From first jobs and growing families to retirement and everything in between, financial planning works best when it evolves alongside your goals, priorities, and life changes.

Our latest blog explores why a financial plan should be treated as a living roadmap, not a one-time checklist.

You may have seen headlines about the new federally sponsored children’s savings accounts known as “Trump Accounts.” We’re helping clients sort through what’s currently known, and whether these accounts make sense as part of a broader financial plan.

A few key details:
• Eligible newborns may receive a one-time $1,000 federal contribution
• Contributions can grow tax-deferred
• Annual contribution limit is currently $5,000
• Funds generally remain restricted until age 18

Like any planning tool, these accounts may fit well for some families and less so for others.

Questions? We’re happy to help you evaluate what makes the most sense for your family.

Life changes fast, and your financial plan should keep up.

A few moments that should trigger a plan review:
• Getting married or divorced
• Buying or selling a home
• Having children or grandchildren
• Changing jobs or retiring
• Receiving an inheritance
• Caring for aging parents
• Significant income changes

A financial plan isn’t something you set once and forget. The best plans evolve as your life does. If it’s been a while since you’ve reviewed yours, we’re here to help.

Friendly reminder: Estimated Q2 tax payments are due June 15.

If you’re self-employed, have freelance income, own a business, or receive income without automatic withholding, now’s a good time to double-check your estimated payments and avoid surprises later.

We can neither confirm nor deny that Joe has already been “working remotely” since 2:47 this afternoon.

In honor of National Leave Work Early Day, here’s your reminder that work-life balance matters too. Take the walk. Close the laptop. Grab dinner outside. Financial planning is about building a life you actually enjoy living.

(Just maybe don’t tell your boss we encouraged it.)

May 29 = 529 Day! 🎓

If you have kids (or grandkids), today is a great reminder to check in on that college savings account. Have you opened one? Is it invested in a way that makes sense for how old your child is? Are you contributing regularly?

529 accounts have some great tax advantages and the earlier you start, the more those advantages compound.

Financial planning isn't just for wealthy people. We'll say it again for the people in the back: financial planning isn't just for wealthy people!

Whether you're making $40,000 a year or $400,000, you deserve a strategy. You deserve someone to help you make the most of what you have, protect what you're building, and plan for where you want to go.

At Rowhouse Financial Partners, we'll make a plan for anyone regardless of income. Because your neighborhood financial advisor should actually be there for the whole neighborhood.

New blog is up! "What Does a Financial Plan Actually Look Like?" (FYI: If it is something that is gathering dust... that isn't it.)

We're pulling back the curtain on what actually goes into a comprehensive financial plan and why it's not just for people with a lot of money.

Spoiler: it starts with your goals, not a spreadsheet (although we do love spreadsheets 😉)
