One of those experiences that the 20-year-old version of me wouldn't have believed if you told him he'd have one day.

A "work trip" with a little golf mixed in at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD.

Leo Tucker absolutely lives up to his reputation and is one of the coolest people in the world. He leads with gratitude, abundance, and authenticity, which is wildly contagious. What he's built as Managing Partner of Northwestern Mutual DC is incredible, and who he is as a person is even more impressive.

Adam Seiden and Tom Samar, I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time. Tom and I are lucky to have a mentor with whom we can have difficult conversations and then laugh just as hard together right afterward.

Feeling deep gratitude for Leo, Adam, and Tom for an experience I'll never forget.

"The best part of our jobs is that we get to go on vacation with our friends three times a year."

— Tom Samar

We ran the Catholic Health Half Marathon for Veterans last weekend.

No, I'm not a runner.
Yes, I finished.
No, my time wasn't great.
Yes, my wife crushed it. So did Nick.
And Yes, the guy behind me was keeping a tennis ball up on a racquet the entire race.

Doing hard things for a great cause fills your cup.
Get out there and get after it!

After years of building meaningful relationships with clients I'm excited to share a new chapter:

Welcome to U Financial.

This isn't just a new name. It's a reflection of who we are, who we've become, and most importantly, who we serve.

The "U" carries a few special meanings. It's the first letter of my family name, Urraro. It's a nod to the University of Miami, where many of the values that shaped my life and career were strengthened. But above all else, U stands for you.

Our clients have always been at the center of every decision we make.

Since starting my career through Northwestern Mutual's internship program in 2018, I've been fortunate to build a practice alongside incredible clients, teammates, mentors, and friends. What began as a vision has grown into a firm serving more than 350 families and individuals across the country, helping them navigate financial planning, wealth management, business planning, risk management, and legacy planning. Now we will continue to do so on the Northwestern Mutual platform going to market as 'U Financial'.

As we've grown, we've continued to invest in our people and client experience. I'm especially excited to recognize Amanda Murphy in her new role as Director of Client Experience, while also expanding our capabilities through dedicated Investment Operations and Marketing Engagement teams.

At U Financial, our work is built on four core values:

• Family
• Growth
• Authenticity
• Consistency

We believe great financial planning requires both offense and defense. It's about helping clients grow and enjoy their wealth while protecting the people and priorities that matter most.

When a client asks, "Are we going to be okay?", our goal is to help them confidently answer, "Yes."

To our clients, team members, mentors, friends, and family members who have trusted, challenged, and supported me along the way: thank you. None of this would be possible without you.

I'm incredibly excited for what's ahead and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving others through this next chapter.

Because at U Financial, everything begins and ends with you.

Leadership is rewarding when you get to watch people grow and make meaningful progress towards their potential right before your eyes.

In August, we ran a friendly competition among our newer advisors, with the top three performers earning a day on the golf course.

What stood out to me wasn't just who won. It was that the three advisors who came out on top are also the three who consistently arrive early, stay late, and put in the work when nobody is watching.

It was a great reminder that in a true meritocracy, effort matters. Talent is important, but consistency, discipline, and a willingness to do the extra work often make the difference.

As for the golf, it became clear that all those hours in the office didn't leave much time to sharpen our games this summer.

Regardless of the scorecard, it was a great day spent recognizing the habits that lead to long-term success and celebrating three individuals who earned this moment.

Congratulations to our winners. Well deserved.

Earn the Sunrise (Buddy slept in this morning)

Find 5 quiet minutes to yourself in the morning and feel the difference it can make in your stress levels, mindset, and focus throughout the day.

Not a soul on the Great South Bay this morning at 6:32AM. Saying it's peaceful doesn't even do it justice.

Own the morning, win the day!

The world gets a little smaller every time you meet a great person.

This past weekend, my wife and I were in Jupiter, FL celebrating the wedding of two of our closest family friends at the Pelican Club. What a beautiful weekend full of love and memories!

We were lucky enough to be sitting at a table with Sara Uy from Selling Sara and her husband Jonathan. They couldn't have been more welcoming and genuine.

It's a good reminder that there are incredible people everywhere. Get out, meet people, be curious, and don't underestimate what can come from a simple hello and a conversation.

Grateful to be in the right place at the right time to meet great people!

Stay tuned... there may be a Selling Sara × Northwestern Mutual collaboration in the works.

Resilience is necessary.

The more difficult it is for you to reach a goal, the sweeter it is when you get there.

Things in life that are worth it aren't easy, and those that are easy usually aren't worth it.

I tell this to new entrepreneurs all the time and recently my own philosophy was challenged when Skylar and I were in Big Sky, Montana.

We found what seemed to be an easy, 6-mile hike that was in and out to a place called 'Lava Lake'. What we didn't know was that the 3 miles in were incredibly steep and challenging. When we finally arrived at Lava Lake it was one of the most beautiful places on earth we'd ever seen. I got to swim in the freezing cold snow-melted lake, and we sat and soaked in what felt like heaven.

The view from the top is not as enjoyable if you didn't hike there.

If you're pursuing something big, and you are facing challenges - good. It's a sign you're on the right path. Keep going. There's a version of Lava Lake waiting for you on the other side.

Eight years ago, I was sitting in the front row at my first Northwestern Mutual Annual Meeting, taking notes and dreaming about what it would be like to speak on that stage.

Last week, I got to do exactly that in front of more than 1,000 advisors.

It was every bit as energizing and rewarding as I imagined. Looking back, it's a reminder that when you set a goal, stay focused, and refuse to quit, incredible things can happen over time.

While the opportunity to present was special, the most meaningful part was what happened afterward. The conversations, ideas, and new relationships that came from connecting with advisors across the country made the experience truly memorable.

I'm incredibly grateful to Northwestern Mutual for the opportunity to share with such a talented group of professionals. A special thank you to Justin Bassell for being an absolute pro and a fantastic co-presenter. And thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and took the time to connect after the session.

Moments like these are a great reminder of how far persistence can take you and how much more rewarding the journey becomes when you're able to learn from and give back to others along the way.
