"We are one team now" — that's a direct quote from a CPA firm owner in Chicago after their first tax season working with an extended team from us.

That's the goal with every engagement: not a vendor relationship, a genuine extension of your firm.

There's a rush right now to adopt AI tools as fast as possible — but tools alone don't win.

The firms actually pulling ahead are the ones pairing smart automation with well-trained, accountable people who know how to use it, review it, and catch what it misses.

That combination — not AI alone — is the real competitive edge over the next five years.

One of the most common frustrations we hear about outsourcing providers is unclear pricing — hidden fees, markups, auto-debit surprises.

We built our model the opposite way: flat fees, no markups, and you only pay for work you've approved.

Outsourcing your accounting work shouldn't require decoding a pricing structure first.

Year-end payroll compliance — 1099 and W-2 issuance, final deposits, reconciliations — always seems to land at the busiest possible time.

A dedicated payroll team handles these fixed deadlines in the background, so your firm's attention stays on clients instead of scrambling through forms in late December.

Nearly every bookkeeping engagement we run follows the same pattern: a firm starts with one associate handling a handful of client accounts to test the waters, and within a few months scales up to a dedicated full-time team member once they see the quality and consistency for themselves.

Low-risk way to start, real results to show for it. www.altobooks.one

This isn't a niche trend anymore.

Big 4 firms, regional firms, small practices, and solo practitioners across the country — from NY to CA to WI to TX — are all building offshore extended teams.

What was once considered unconventional has quietly become standard operating procedure across the accounting profession.

One of the biggest myths about outsourced bookkeeping is that you lose control over quality and process.

In practice, it works the opposite way: you set the standards, review the work, and approve it — exactly like managing an in-house employee.

The difference is you're not the one doing every reconciliation yourself at 9pm.

We hear this constantly from small firm owners, especially outside major metros: local hiring just isn't working the way it used to.

It's not a reflection of the firm — it's a shrinking talent pipeline nationwide.

That's exactly why firms in small towns and big cities alike are building extended teams instead of waiting on a local hire that may never come.

A Chicago-based CPA firm ran a trial with two tax returns. That season, they filed several hundred returns with us — a mix of 1040s, 1065s, 1120s, 1120S, and 1041s.

Their review found errors in only 2 out of the entire batch. That level of accuracy is hard to get even from an in-house CPA employee.
