Framers, fabricators and laborers wanted. Experience working with light gauge steel a plus. Open positions include layout, cutting and assembling light gauge steel members with screws.

Must be able to read a tape, use a screw gun, handle basic construction tools and saws.

Typical shift is 10 hours, 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday.

These are full time positions working inside a plant in Terrell, TX fabricating trusses and wall panels.

Compensation commensurate with experience. Training available for qualified candidates.

• Proficient at reading commercial construction plans/specs and understand assemblies / details.
• Ability to understand shop drawings and check fabricated wall panels and trusses for conformance.
• Develop, implement, and enforce QC standards and procedures.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing quality issues.
• Work closely with manufacturing team to ensure process controls are in place and adequate to meet quality standards.
• Develop material orders based on shop drawings and cross reference with plan details to ensure accuracy.
• Track project fabrication progress.
• Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to generate documentation, instructions, and images to direct others.
• Proficiency with software such as Bluebeam, Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
• Proficiency with measuring tape.
• Must be a team player.

• Assist in facilitating the internal processes within departments to help track orders from sales to delivery.
• Review ALL salesteam email and ensure any customer concerns are addressed by proper Steelway personnel by following up with such person.
• Manage the estimating calendar, by becoming proficient in reviewing plans, identifying job opportunities for Steelway by inputting projects to bid in ACT, making sure take-offs are done in timely manner to meet bid deadlines and submit proposals.
• Assist sales in developing bidders list for all projects quoted.
• Follow up to determine project award status, apparent low bidder and follow up as required to track project through win/loss.
• Assist Design department by maintaining schedule to track deadlines for submittals to ensure they are sent to customer on time and returned in time to meet production schedule.
• Ensure orders are placed into production in a timely manner to facilitate the delivery of our finished product on or ahead of schedule.
• Managing multiple deadlines simultaneously and strict attention to detail is a must, working closely with the President to maintain continuity.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Work closely with Sales Manager to help close and enter jobs as needed utilizing customer relationship and service skills.
• Pull sales and opportunity reports as required.
• Fill out and submit prequalification statements for Sales Manager.
• Ensure ITB’s have proper contact information and following up to have information corrected.
• Other duties as assigned.

looking for skilled workers who can assemble truss and walls made from light gauge galvanized steel. Basic knowledge of construction is a plus. Reading a tape measure, hand tools, screw guns and follow instructions. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift 50 lbs. Currently we are working 40 hrs. a week but subject to change. 10 hrs a day off on Fridays. Also subject to change. We are taking applications and interviewing at this time.

This is a plant position located in Terrell, TX.
