Stop trying to buy a shortcut to a foundation you haven’t even built yet. 🛑 🧱

If you are a new business owner and you’re looking at “Lead Services” or “Ads” before you’ve even checked off the basics, you are effectively throwing your limited capital into a black hole. 💸

The Harsh Reality: Ads don’t fix a lack of effort. If your “digital storefront” is empty, unorganized, or invisible, an ad is just paying for people to see that you aren’t ready for them.

The $0 Foundation (The Bare Minimum):
* Google Business Profile: If you aren’t on the map, you don’t exist. Period.
* The “Big 3” Socials (IG/FB/TikTok): These are free billboards. If they are empty, you look like a ghost town. 👻
* Facebook Groups: Stop spamming and start solving problems. People buy from experts, not spammers. 🤝
* Professional Visuals: A clean flyer, a digital business card, and a simple logo. If you can’t show a basic level of branding, why should a client trust you with their money? 🎨
* An Organized Portfolio: Stop dumping 50 unlabelled photos in a comment thread. Use your IG grid to show your work properly. Label it. Make it presentable. 📸

The Bottom Line: You might not have the capital for a massive marketing budget yet—and that’s okay. But you do have the time to do these 5 things for free.

Most of your competition is lazy. They won’t do these. Simply showing this level of effort and organization will set you apart from 90% of the people in your industry.

Don’t touch the “Promote” button until your house is in order. 🏠

Muchos abren una LLC en Texas y piensan que sus bienes están protegidos automáticamente. Pero si usas la cuenta de tu negocio como “alcancía personal”, estás rompiendo el velo corporativo. Esto significa que tu casa y tus ahorros podrían estar en riesgo legal. 😱

Aquí tienes el checklist de lo que DEBES y NO DEBES hacer para que tu LLC sea un escudo real:

✅ LO QUE DEBES HACER
* Retiros del Dueño: Transfiere de cuenta Biz ➡️ Personal para pagarte (sin nómina).
* Texas Franchise Tax: ¡Presenta tu informe (PIR) antes del 15 de mayo! Es obligatorio cada año. 🗓️
* Solicitar W-9: Pídela a cada contratista ANTES de enviarles el primer pago.
* 1099-NEC ($2,000+): Solo emítela si pagaste más de $2k a un subcontratista en el año.
* Banca Separada: Usa una cuenta exclusiva para todos tus ingresos y gastos de negocio.
* Impuestos Trimestrales: No esperes a fin de año; envía tus pagos estimados al IRS cada trimestre.

🚫 LO QUE NO DEBES HACER
* No Nómina (W-2) para ti: Eres el dueño, no un empleado. No te pagues por nómina.
* No 1099 a tu pareja: Si tu esposo/a trabaja contigo, legalmente debe estar en nómina W-2.
* No “Piggy Banking”: Nunca pagues el súper, la ropa o tu renta personal desde la cuenta del negocio. ❌🛒

Most people form an LLC and think they’re set, but if you treat your business account like a personal piggy bank, you’re “piercing the corporate veil”—meaning your personal assets could be at risk.

Here is your essential “Do & Don’t” Checklist to keep your Texas SMLLC in good standing:

✅ THE DO’S
* Owner’s Draws: Transfer from Biz to Personal to get paid.
* Texas Franchise Tax: File your Public Information Report (PIR) by May 15th annually! 🗓️
* Collect W-9s: Get these from every contractor before you send a dime.
* 1099-NEC ($2,000+): Issue only if you pay a sub $2k+ (New threshold).
* Separate Banking: Use a dedicated account for all business revenue.
* Quarterly Taxes: Send IRS estimated payments every quarter.

🚫 THE DON’TS
* No W-2 for You: You are the owner, not an employee. No payroll for yourself.
* No 1099 to Spouse: If they work for the biz, they belong on a real W-2 payroll.
* No “Piggy Banking”: Never pay personal bills directly from the biz account.
* No Cash Payments: Avoid cash; always maintain a digital paper trail.
