Are you ready to start or grow your career in tax and accounting? Castillo CPA is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Staff Accountant to join our team!🔍 About the Role:
As a Tax Staff , you will support our tax compliance and planning functions, prepare and review various tax returns, conduct research on tax regulations, and collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service to our clients. This is an ideal opportunity for early-career professionals looking to build a solid foundation in tax accounting.🧾 Key Responsibilities:
Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and entities.
Support compliance with tax laws and timely filing requirements.
Assist in responding to tax notices and inquiries.
Conduct basic tax research and support planning strategies.
Maintain organized documentation and prepare supporting work papers.
Communicate with clients to collect and clarify financial data.
Collaborate with senior accountants and assist junior staff when needed.
🎓 Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Accounting (CPA eligibility or Master’s in Taxation a plus).
1–2 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, UltraTax, ProSystem fx).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
