If you have trouble getting ahold of your your CPA now you know why. Half of Ohio CPAs are over the age of 50 and half of those don’t keep their license active which is important in this world of never-ending accounting and IT change. This is very similar in any state in the nation per my AICPA town halls.

If you have any college age kids not knowing what to study, the five year accounting degree and a few years doing the CPA is a great idea for never-ending job security! Future CPAs are very needed.
