Our Story

Our humble story began in 1984 with a visionary by the name of Ronald Briskman. Ron (as we affectionately called him) had a great mind for business and the voice of a mythological god. As a voice actor, he had recorded spots for national brands such as Ralston Purina, among others. He also appeared in several TV shows and a movie in the 80’s.

Tapping into the pioneering spirit that guided him to be involved in many successful ventures, Ron saw a growing opportunity in a new industry that provided recorded messages played over the phone while callers waited on hold. And, although music on hold had been invented in 1962 by Alfred Levy, practical application of this technology was still in its infancy. In fact, connecting a cassette player to a phone system at the time was difficult and sometimes nearly impossible. It involved complicated wiring and did not always provide reliable performance. Still, our hero pressed on… determined to help businesses retain callers by recording on hold messages with impact.
