• Finance and accounting functions; which include monthly bookkeeping with job costing, month-end and year-end close; general ledger reconciliation; cash management; accounts payable and accounts receivable, and fixed assets management, general journal entries, check disbursements, online banking, reconciliations, etc.
• AIA billing - pay apps and lien waivers
• Vendor relationships, oversee COI (certificate of insurance) requirements and compliance
• Handle the reporting for the annual insurance renewals and audits
• Prepare monthly financial statements and general ledger account reconciliations, activity analyses, and reports as requested, including production-based reports
• Prepare variance analysis reports, evaluation of trends, budgeting and forecasting
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal accounting systems and controls
• Apply and manage minority certifications
• Payroll processing including preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual filings and reports to federal and state, such as W2/W3s, 1096/1099, NC-3, 940/941, and NC 4% reporting and reconciliation, etc.
• Manage company licenses and business lines of insurance renewals and audits
• Work with third party CPA to complete all States and Federal Income Tax Returns
• Highly Proficient in Word, Excel, and QuickBooks
• Excellent technical accounting skills with an in-depth knowledge of and experience in all phases of accounting operations
