What’s something plaintiffs don’t often realize about liens? 🤔

Many aren’t fully aware of which insurance coverage paid for their medical bills or that the insurer may have a right to reimbursement. Liens can also arise from unrelated claims, and government agencies often operate on their own timelines, making the process longer and more complex.

At Paramount, we recommend that plaintiffs share copies of insurance cards, explanation of benefits, and any related documents with their attorney as soon as possible. The more visibility upfront can mean less surprises later.
