Cobb Business Grants available!

Cobb County Government is partnering with SelectCobb to offer the county’s small businesses a funding opportunity to help mitigate financial hardships created by the coronavirus pandemic. The SelectCobb Small Business Relief Grants will provide up to $20,000-$40,000 grants for small businesses based in Cobb County to use on personnel, rent, utilities, and acquiring PPE to ensure the safety of their employees.

Applications will open on June 8 and close on June 26. A full list of eligibility requirements and more information about the application process will be available at selectcobb.com/grants on June 1.

Also, a webinar on how to apply for the small business grants will be held on June 10th at 10:00 a.m.

Support local small independent businesses!!! They need our business to be able to keep their doors open and their employees paid!!!

Small business owners have been given a huge challenge in trying to not only keep their business open, their employees paid, but also, in meeting all the required guidelines for the Payroll Protection Program (PPP) and the SBA loan. The PPP and the SBA loan have been put in place, under the CARES Act, to assist small businesses, under the economic crisis they are facing. Unfortunately, the amount of information from the banking industry, the SBA and the government is not complete, or in some cases not accurate. The PPP has an opportunity of having loan forgiveness, if the requirements are met. This is where the challenge is for most business owners.

I am providing my clients with assistance in applying for both these programs, and in consulting on their specific needs and budgets. I am also providing them with assistance in meeting and documenting the requirements, so they are potentially meeting 100% loan forgiveness for the PPP.

Georgia Department of Labor you need to act immediately on getting the independent contractors, self-employed and GIG workers covered for unemployment under the CARES act.

Your post online is NOT acceptable...These people need money NOW!

CARES ACT UPDATE: Self-employed workers, gig workers, 1099 independent contractors - DO NOT APPLY AT THIS TIME. We will provide instructions for applying for this federal program by April 10th pending USDOL approval.

The GDOL signed all of the necessary agreements Saturday, March 28, 2020, to access funding for this program. The USDOL directed states to wait for specific guidance on implementation procedures for this federal program before distributing funds on behalf of the federal government.

I thank God for giving me the ability to help so many small businesses this week to apply for the Payroll Protection Program and the EIDL SBA Loan, both available as stimulus relief through the CARES act, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This help is literally allowing small businesses to pay their employees and in turn put food on their families tables!!!! We live in the greatest country in the world!!! Praying for America and all the world!

Georgia Department of Labor, you need to immediately give online access and information for the independent contractors, self employed and GIG workers that need the unemployment relief made available to them through the
CARES act. These people need money NOW!!!!

Thank you City of Kennesaw for helping your small business owners!

The City of Kennesaw has extended the deadline for Business License renewals to May 29, 2020, without penalty.

Currently, business owners can pay their renewal by phone, dropbox, mail or the online payment portal. Online renewals are not available to any business with a privileged license such as Massage Therapy, Bail Bonds, Pawnbroker, Precious Metals and Temporary Use.
