PSA: The Advance Child Tax Credit was an advance on your 2021 tax return. If you received the advance and did not opt-out, but is NOT claiming the dependent(s) on your 2021 tax return, then you will have to pay the advance back.

If you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), you can expect to get your refund March 1 if:

• Your return is e-filed
• You choose to get your refund by direct deposit
• The IRS finds no issues with your return
