-- Collections HAVE to be removed from your credit report if the collection agency can't provide you the following validation.

✅ An agreement between them and your original creditor showing they have the right to collect the debt on behalf of the original creditor.

✅ Your original contract with the creditor bearing your signature.

✅ Proof of the alleged charges on the original account.

✅ Proof that they as the collection agency are licensed and authorized to practice in your state.

If they can not provide these items after you specifically request them, then they are in VIOLATION of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and are required to delete it from your credit file.
