You can make all federal tax payments online at https://www.irs.gov/payments

State tax payments can be made online as well at their respective online portals!

If you need help with 2026 planning, it's not too early! Give us a call anytime. We will be taking a few days out of office next week to reset, but please call if you need us in the meantime!

Mark these 2026 estimated tax due dates on your calendar:

📆 January 15, 2026: Q4 2025 estimated tax payment due.

📆 April 15, 2026: Q1 2026 estimated tax payment due (any remaining 2025 taxes are due too!).

📆 June 15, 2026: Q2 2026 estimated tax payment due.

📆 September 15, 2026: Q3 2026 estimated tax payment due.

PRO TIP: Pay using IRS Direct Pay or your IRS Online Account (you can even schedule payments in advance!).

A few types of 1099s you might be filing (or receiving) soon:

→ 1099-NEC: For payments to non-employees (independent contractors) whom you paid $600 or more for services for your business. You could also *receive* these for services you provided!

→ 1099-MISC: For miscellaneous payments, like rent, royalties, and certain legal fees.

→ 1099-INT: Something you'll receive from your bank or financial institution if you earned more than $10 in interest.

→ 1099-K: Reports payments processed by third-party apps like Stripe or PayPal.

Most 1099 filings are due by January 31st!

Before you go full Santa-mode on your clients this holiday season, here's how to stay off the IRS's naughty list when it comes to client gifts! ↓

🎁 You can only deduct up to $25 per client per year.

🎁 Incidental costs (like shipping, engraving, etc.) that don't add significant value to the gift don't count towards the $25 limit.

🎁 Keep records documenting a description of the gift, the amount, the date of the gift, who you're giving the gift to, and your business relationship with them.
