As a financial consultant, I pledge to ”grow old” with my clients, and today was one of those days where I felt inner joy that couldn’t be bought. 😄
Two years ago, I met Kai Xiang professionally to discuss about his financial planning. He was already dating Shu Fang at that time, and we joked and laughed as we talked about his money concerns. Back then, he was barely making ends meet, particularly tough on him considering that he was taking up a part-time business degree in SUSS while working full-time, and supporting his family expenses as well. I suggested that perhaps they could apply for a 3-room BTO flat at Lakeside, but they were unfortunately not given a ballot.
Two years later, Kai Xiang and Shu Fang have been allocated a ballot for a 4-room BTO flat in Tengah Garden Waterfront! They will be selecting their flat somewhere in April. With proper money management and career progression, these two clients have managed to secure a flat bigger than originally planned. I’m truly happy for them.
Moving forward, I grounded them to realise that the true journey of home ownership starts today! They will each be saving up another $500 per month in order to achieve their desired renovation goals when the flat arrives in 2027.
