I thought I had missed the moment.
We made the trip to see Mount Fuji. We planned the journey, watched the weather forecast, travelled the distance with anticipationโฆ only to be met with rain and clouds ๐ฅน
No clear view.
No postcard moment.
Just disappointment quietly sitting in the heart.
Sometimes life feels like that too.
We prepare.
We plan carefully.
We do our best to reach something meaningful.
Yet when we finally arrive, the view we hoped for is hidden.
And if we are not careful, we may think:
โMaybe it just wasnโt meant for me.โ
But on the flight back, somewhere high above the clouds, there it was.
Mt Fuji
Quiet. Majestic. Unobstructed.
Not from the ground where I was searching so hard for it,
but from the sky.
And perhaps that itself was the lesson.
There are things in life we cannot fully see when we are standing too close to them. Too caught up in the noise.
Too limited by disappointment, emotions, timing, or expectations.
Sometimes we need a higher plane of thought.
A higher perspective allows us to realise that the mountain was always there. The beauty never disappeared. Only our view was blocked.
Life has a way of teaching us that delays are not always denials. What we fail to see today may appear more beautifully tomorrow, in a way we never expected.
And often, the view becomes even more meaningful because we had to wait for it.
There is also something humbling about seeing Mt Fuji from above the clouds.
It reminds me that some of lifeโs greatest moments are not found by forcing outcomes, but by trusting the journey enough to stay open.
Godโs plans may not always align with our timeline, but sometimes they unfold with a wisdom far greater than our own understanding.
Perhaps that is why growth requires elevation and patience.
When we rise above fear, above frustration, above the need to control every outcome, we begin to see life differently and beautifully.
Clearer.
Wiser.
Calmer.
And the beauty before us becomes just as majestic, if not more.
Maybe the real blessing was never simply seeing Mt Fuji.
It was learning that some things are only visible when we are willing to rise higher mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
