Our pets quietly became family, and more households in Singapore are now insuring them.
The Business Times reports demand is still rising but may be cooling, even as vet costs climb and pet healthcare here stays unsubsidised. So the question for owners is simple. Insure against the big, unexpected bills, or set money aside and manage it yourself? Neither is automatically right.
The reminder underneath is one we return to often. Insurance is not a savings plan. Its value is protection against the unforeseen, so match the cover to the risk and review it as life changes.
