“SAYANG LANG BINABAYAD…WALA NAMANG NANGYAYARI” — yung kahit si Kamatayan magtataka eh.
We sometimes hear this from people who have been paying for their insurance policy for years without making a claim.
At first glance, it may seem like money is being wasted. But if you think about it, the longer you go without needing to claim from your insurance, the better your situation actually is.
After all, why would you want something to happen just so you can make a claim?
A health insurance claim usually means you got sick. A critical illness claim means you were diagnosed with a serious medical condition. A life insurance claim means someone has passed away. These are not situations anyone should wish for just to “get their money’s worth.”
Insurance is one of the few things you pay for hoping you never have to use. The real value is not in making a claim—it’s in knowing that if the unexpected happens, you and your family have financial protection. If years pass without a claim, that’s not money wasted. It’s a sign that life has been kind enough not to give you a reason to use it.
