Ngayong 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, ating ipinagdiriwang ang tapang, pagkakakilanlan, at patuloy na pakikibaka ng ating mga kapatid na transgender.

Bago pa man dumating ang kolonyalismo, kinikilala na sa sinaunang Pilipinas ang mga babaylan. Mga espiritwal na pinuno na kadalasang lumalampas sa tradisyunal na konsepto ng kasarian. Sila ay simbolo ng lakas, karunungan, at pagkakapantay-pantay.

Ngunit sa pagdating ng kolonyalismong Espanyol, ang kanilang identidad ay pilit na tinago, binura, at pinalitan ng diskriminasyon.

Hindi kailanman nawala ang mga transgender sa ating lipunan. Sila ay narito noon, at narito ngayon.

Sa kasalukuyan, patuloy nilang pinapatunayan ang kanilang mahalagang papel bilang mga lingkod-bayan, tagagawa ng batas, g**o, doktor, at mga lider-estudyante. Sila ay hindi lamang bahagi ng lipunan. Sila ay aktibong humuhubog at naglilingkod para sa kinabukasan ng ating bansa.

Sa araw na ito, hindi lamang natin sila “nakikita,” kundi kinikilala, tinatanggap, at ipinaglalaban.

Panahon na upang tiyakin ang kanilang dignidad sa pamamagitan ng respeto, inklusibong espasyo, at mga batas na tunay na magpoprotekta sa kanilang karapatan.

𝗞𝗮𝘆𝗮’𝘁 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗸𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗮.

You don’t have to get ahead of everything today. You don’t have to feel pressured before it even starts. This phase will come and go, just like the ones before it. And when it does, you’ll handle it the way you always do; one step at a time.

For now, take the break as it is.
No overthinking. No rushing. Just a moment to pause, reset, and breathe.

𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: 𝗪𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

As we honor National Women's Month, we must confront the reality of sexism in our institutions. Recent remarks made by Rep. B**g Suntay during the March 3, 2026, House Committee on Justice Hearing objectified Anne Curtis, treating her as a target for lust rather than a human being deserving of respect.

Such remarks reinforce a culture that reduces women to objects of commentary, raising a critical question: How can women feel safe when government officials behave this way? We must never be too late to vote wisely. This incident drives the urgency of Women's Empowerment Month: we must never stop fighting for gender equality. We do not deserve such remarks, nor do we deserve officials who hold such mindsets in government.

The Junior Marketing Association - RTU Pasig condemns this sexism and reaffirms our commitment to fighting for women's rights. Rep. Suntay's actions are unacceptable and must not be normalized. Public service requires public respect.

We refuse to let women be judged by their clothing. If you think a woman's outfit is the problem, you are the problem. It is not about how we dress it is about the mindset of those who objectify us. We are advocating for a world where women are respected for who they are, not what they wear
