Here’s a photo of Aling Elena, a resident of Barangay Colayo in Pasil, Kalinga. She used to walk for at least two hours when going to the town proper to buy goods at the public market.

In 2014, community leaders and volunteers in Barangay Dangtalan, Pasil decided to build a new and stronger footbridge with the help of the MCC-funded KALAHI-CIDSS project. By December 2014, the 65-meter cable footbridge was completed.

Here are photos of the Bike Fun Ride held last May 19, 2016 from Taft to Borongan City, Eastern Samar as part of the closing activities for SNRDP. The other events were a Motorcade from the town of Guiuan to Borongan City and a Fun Run in Borongan City.

SNRDP is an MCC-funded project for the rehabilitation of the 222- kilometer road in Samar and Eastern Samar.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) held a “soft launching” on its “smart” Tax Identification Number (TIN) card last June 20, 2016. The “smart” TIN card aims to replace the existing cardboard TIN IDs.

In August 2015, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) celebrated its 111th anniversary with the theme “Angat Pa, Pinas!” inspired by the public awareness campaign “Angat Pa, Pinas!” of the Millennium Challenge Account–Philippines (MCA-P).

Then President Benigno S. Aquino III, who was the Guest of Honor, lauded the campaign and encouraged Filipinos to pay their correct taxes.

Angat Pa, Pinas is a call to action for every Filipino to contribute in nation-building by paying the right amount of taxes.
