Tax Update: RMC No. 030-2026

The Bureau of Internal Revenue has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 030-2026, extending the deadline for filing Annual Income Tax Returns (AITR) to May 15, 2026 in view of the declared national emergency.

Extension details:
• Applies to all taxpayers required to file Annual ITRs
• Original deadline: April 15, 2026
• New deadline: May 15, 2026

Despite the extension, taxpayers are encouraged to file and pay their taxes through available channels such as eFPS, eBIRForms, and Authorized Agent Banks (AABs).

The extension aims to provide relief and additional time for taxpayers to comply with their obligations during the national emergency.

What this means for taxpayers:
You now have additional time to prepare and file your Annual ITR. However, it is still advisable to file early to avoid system congestion and ensure timely compliance.

Tax Update: RMO No. 7-2026

The Bureau of Internal Revenue has issued Revenue Memorandum Order (RMO) No. 7-2026, implementing a 4-day on-site and 1-day work-from-home arrangement for BIR personnel effective March 9, 2026.

Work arrangement:
• On-site:Monday to Thursday
• Work-from-home: Friday

Despite this change, BIR frontline services will remain available on Fridays at the Large Taxpayers Service, Regional Offices, and Revenue District Offices to ensure uninterrupted services such as:

✔️ Taxpayer registration
✔️ Filing and payment assistance
✔️ Processing of inquiries

The measure supports the directive of Pres. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for government agencies to reduce electricity and fuel consumption by 10–20%.

What this means for taxpayers:
While most BIR personnel will work remotely on Fridays, taxpayer services will continue with skeleton staffing to ensure assistance remains available.

If you need help with BIR registration, tax compliance, or filing requirements, feel free to send us a message.
