League of Young Financial Educators LyFE is a community of financially literate and socially responsible young individuals. We seek to change the mindset of young people towards money.

LyFE is a community of young entrepreneurs and financial advocates whose mission is to help Filipinos get out of debt, earn more compared to people working abroad and be able to live a significant lifestyle that they want while helping others do the same. We seek to help young individuals to be financially literate even at a young age and teach them the value of saving and investing. LyFE aims to

make an impact to the young people and expose them to the training grounds of handling their own money, especially those who just recently graduated in college and on their first jobs in their respective industries. More than being financially literate, our aim really is to make young people socially responsible and guide them towards a life changing journey. LyFE makes life more desirable to live. LyFE change lives.

A survey conducted by Forbes showed that 51% of the Millennials believe their lack of personal finance knowledge is preventing them from progressing financially. And they are correct: it is preventing them from reaching their greatest potential. Financial literacy encourages people to save money and form positive saving habits, teaches responsibility and awareness through budgeting, and leads to financial abundance through the appropriate investments.

Today, letโ€™s talk about financial literacy in the Philippines.

Data from numerous analyses and studies revealed that just 23% of adult Filipinos have bank accounts, according to the governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Benjamin Diokno. Barely 18% of Filipinos have insurance coverage, and only 3% invest in financial products.

Nakakalungkot diba? ๐Ÿ˜ž In comparison to other developing and surrounding countries, the Philippines is even considered to have one of the lowest financial literacy rates.

Thatโ€™s why we, the League of Young Financial Educators are motivated to pursue financial literacy here in our country. Lalong lalo na among millennials and Gen Zs who are starting their journey towards financial independence and abundance!
