2️⃣ What if nag resign ka or nag lay-off si company, qualified ka pa din ba sa insurance nila?

Kwentong Insurance ☀️

Few days ago at Sun Life office, I overheard my co-Financial Advisor kausap ang cashier. This is her words “Hindi ako makapaniwalang ang 1st ever death claim ko is for my brother”. Her brother was just 36 years old OFW and according to her, bigla nalang nag seizure that suddenly leads to cardiac arrest. Her family were still in the state of shock dahil wala naman daw existing medical condition ang brother nya. And sadly maliliit pa mga anak na naiwan nya.

Buti nalang daw at 2yrs ago nung naging Financial Advisor sya, kinulit nya ang brother nya na kumuha ng insurance plan kaya kahit papano may maiiwang death benefit for his family. I asked her “Ilang days po ba na-approved ang claims, Ma’am?” and she replied “Sinumbit ko nung Friday and na-approved sya by Monday” ☀️

No amount of money can replace a departed loved ones pero kahit papano dahil prepared ka for the future, our family will be taken care of once we’re taken out of the picture.

Babala: Hindi po ito gaslighting sa sinumang ayaw kumuha ng INSURANCE.

You have all the right to say NO if you think hindi mo pa siya kailangan. Maaring hindi pasok sa budget or hindi mo talaga priority. But I hope this serves as a reminder lang na once you need it baka hindi ka ne eligible to get one.

Please, think about it. Check your finances. Insurance is not an additional expense but rather a safety net in case may mangyaring di inaasahan sa future 😊

Me: Sir, ang ganda ng car mo, top of the line ah!

Sir: Oo, 18K monthly binbayad ko (amortization)

Me: Im sure insured ang new car mo boss. 🙂

Sir: Ay oo naman, required yan pag kumuha ka ng brand new car sa casa.

Me: ah, ganun po ba? kumuha ka din Insurance nyan? para saan daw po yun?

Sir: Oo, para kung ano man, mangyari, magasgasan o maaksidente eh may sasalo ng gastos. Mahirap na, buti na yung ready tayo.

Me: Maganda nga yan sir, eh Ikaw ba Sir, insured ka din ba? paano kung ikaw o ang family mo ang sakay sa maganda mong car sa oras na hindi inaasahan? May sasalo din ba ng gastos para sa iyo?

Sir: “Ang lakas lakas ko pa pinapatay mo na ako.”

Me: Para saan po ba ang seatbelt, airbag at spare tire ng sasakyan? Nilagay yang mga yan dahil alam ng designer na hindi natin masasabi kung kailan tayo mapapahamak, tama po ba sir?

Sir: (Natulala at napaisip na lang)

Friends, kung yun ngang kotse natin na wala namang financial responsibility para sa atin pag nawala tayo o magkaron ng hindi inaasahang pangyayari sa atin eh insured, bakit tayo na breadwinner ay hindi?

TSAKA NA LANG

I had a client before, Seaman. Sa huli ang sabi “tsaka na lang” daw. Marami pa kasing gastos, nagbabayad pa sa bahay, sasakyan. May training pa ako etc etc. Baka hinde ko pa kaya talaga.

I understand. Sir, you know what I had a client before nakita ko sa office nagbabayad. Naka two years na sya nung nagkita kami sa office. I congratulated her. I asked her what motivates her in investing for her future.

Sabi nya
“Alam mo ba Mam yung sukli ko sa load ko na 80 pesos tinatabi ko araw araw. Nilalagay ko sa garapon sa taas ng ref. Tapos ihuhulog ko after 30 days. Kasi Hinde kasalanan na pinanganak na mahirap. Pero kasalanan ko na kung mamatay pa akong mahirap.”

Sir alam mo b kung ano trabaho ng client ko na yun? Nag mamanicure pedicure sya. Sir Ano pong work niyo? Seaman sir tama po? Sino po kaya ang May kakayanan mag ipon sa inyo? Pasensya na sir. Gusto ko lang marealize ninyo that you are blessed compared to most people. Sasayangin po ba natin ang pagkakataon? Or tsaka na lang?

Scenario: CAR ACCIDENT
Passengers of the said vehicle :
> Parents (Mother and Father)
>Children ( 5 year old son and 2 year old daugther)
Father died while mother survived but critical and stayed in the hospital for almost 2 months.
Children survived with minor injuries.
Father : No insurance (Bread Winner)
Mother: No insurance (Plain House Wife)
Children :No insurance/ No educational plan
CAR : INSURED (still under mortgage)
The questions are:
1. Who will shoulder for the funeral expenses of the father?
2. Who will shoulder for the hospital bills of the mother?
3. Who will give income to the family knowing the bread winner died?
4. Could kids still continue living the life they used to live ?
