We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to work with Australian clients, strengthen their technical skills, and build their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of accounting and taxation, experience handling client accounts, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely financial reports while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
โข Bachelorโs degree in Accountancy or related field
โข CPA license is preferred but not required
โข Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and taxation (local or international experience)
โข Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns is required
โข Australian accounting and taxation experience is an advantage but not required
โข Public Practice experience is an advantage
โข Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and professional guidelines
โข Experience with accounting systems and improving reporting processes
โข Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
โข Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
โข Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
โข Strong interpersonal and client management skills
โข Highest standard of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism
Duties and Responsibilities:
โข Preparation of Business Activity Statements (monthly or quarterly)
โข Preparation of Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, and Activity Statements for a range of clients, including Individuals, Trusts, and Companies
โข Payroll processing for clients on a weekly basis
โข Computation of Capital Gains Tax
โข Assist with client queries and outstanding information through phone calls or emails
โข Assist with ATO client correspondence and queries
โข Work alongside Partners and Managers and manage client engagements from start to finish
โข Liaise with clients on a regular basis and provide professional accounting support
