Position
Tax Liaison Officer
Purpose
To assist Corporate Tax group liaises with government agencies particularly Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) matters and/or Local Government Unit (LGU, in necessary) in Legaspi tax operations.
Qualifications
1. Candidate must possess at least two (2) year secretarial or business course, but a Bachelor’s/College degree in business courses is an advantage
2. Must be trustworthy, flexible, diligent, keen to details and solution oriented
3. Candidate must be computer literate
4. Work experience with an accounting firm or law office is preferred, but not necessary
5. Must be knowledgeable on processing of business registrations and tax payments with LGU and BIR
6. At least one (1) year of working experience as liaison staff
7. Can start immediately
8. Must have good verbal communication skills
Duties and responsibilities
1. Directly reporting to Tax Supervisor.
2. Responsible in preparing all required documents for certain applications with BIR and other documents that may further require by the BIR.
3. Responsible for coordinating requirements with other internal departments in order to complete and submit to the BIR.
4. Responsible in handling transmittal, complete documentation, tax remittances on one- time transactions to BIR’s Authorized Agent Banks and submission of necessary documents.
5. Responsible in processing business applications and/or business closures with BIR Legaspi and Bicol region (if any).
6. Prepares cash advances, request for payment and liquidation pertaining to BIR and LGU matters.
