So here is where we are right now. Kawasaki Factory here, sent a rep to investigate and check my bike and they took the 2 broken brackets back to the factory. At first he tried to blame it on the bracket for my saddle bags (pics to follow). there was a chip on the bracket (on the top of bottom bar) . I more or less told him he was full of it, and that the chip was from the rear caliper breaking loose and slamming back down. I also showed the deep gouges inside the rim, behind the rotor, on the actual rim itself from the brake pads digging in. I also told him, i know of 2 other people who have had bracket breaks, and they don't have saddle bags and that their brackets broke in the same place. Him and my mechanic were there, my mechanic explained that the new bracket i got from the US was much much heavier than the bracket i got from the factory here. They had me put my saddle bags on, sit on the bike, and one guy bounced me up and down while the investigator filmed, the bracket did not hit the caliper bolt nor did it come close. So that's where i am with it right now, i'm sure to hear something by next week. will keep everyone posted.
