Simula July 1, 2025 — flat na 20% final withholding tax (FWT) sa interest income ng bank savings, time deposits, at iba pang deposito — ito yung tubo, hindi yung buong ipon mo. So kung may savings ka sa bangko, tandaan ‘to para walang surprise. 📉

Ayon sa bagong batas na Capital Markets Efficiency Promotion Act (CMEPA), bumaba ang Stock Transaction Tax (STT) from 0.6% → 0.1%. For every ₱10,000 worth of shares — tax becomes ₱10 instead of ₱60. Good for first-time small investors! 🙌

Alam mo ba? Under sa bagong BIR rules (RMC 65-2025), puwede mong piliin kung mag-manual, loose-leaf, o computerized books of accounts ‘pag nag-start ka ng business. Pero kung loose-leaf o computerized ang gamit mo — dapat may permit or certificate muna bago magsimula.

At isa pa — dapat itago mo lahat ng books, receipts, invoices at ibang supporting records ng hanggang 5 taon. Maliit man ang negosyo mo, malaking help ‘to lalo na pag ina-audit o may tax claims ka.

Tama ‘to para organized finances mo at para iwas penalties. ✔️

Kung gumagamit ka ng digital services — e.g. foreign software, online platforms, o nagpapabayad ka sa non-resident digital service providers — may 12% VAT na pala basta ginagamit sa Pinas. Baka kailangan mo muna i-check kung compliant ka. ✅
