The deadline for filing and payment of the 2025 Annual Income Tax Return (AITR) has been extended until May 15, 2026 (from April 15, 2026), pursuant to RMC No. 30-2026.

While there’s more time, early filing is still the best practice to avoid last-minute issues.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has extended the temporary use of the 2020 General Information Sheet (GIS) Form for filing through eFAST until 15 May 2026.

Corporations that are still setting up their eSECURE accounts may continue to use the 2020 GIS Form during this extended period.

The filing deadline for the 2025 Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and related reportorial requirements has been 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗. This follows the issuance of Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 30-2026 by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

🗓️ Revised Deadlines:
• Annual Financial Statements of All Corporations: 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
• SEC Form 52-AR of Brokers & Dealers: 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
• Annual Reports (SEC Form 17-A) with AFS as attachment: 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

All corporations are reminded to ensure that submitted AFS are duly received by the BIR.

DEADLINE EXTENDED!

Good news, taxpayers!

The Bureau of Internal Revenue has officially extended the deadline for the filing and payment of:

• 2025 Annual Income Tax Returns (AITR)
• Submission of required attachments

• Old Deadline: April 15, 2026
• New Deadline: May 15, 2026

This extension gives taxpayers additional time to properly file, pay, and submit requirements without penalties.

Pinalawig natin ang deadline ng filing ng 2025 Annual Income Tax Returns mula April 15 hanggang May 15, 2026. Mas may oras ang bawat taxpayer na makapag-file nang maayos, kasama ang lahat ng kailangang dokumento, at walang ipapataw na penalties.

Maaaring mag-file at magbayad sa pamamagitan ng BIR electronic platforms, o sa mga Authorized Agent Banks.

Ginawa natin ito para mas magaan ang pagbabayad ng bawat Pilipino, lalo na sa panahong ramdam ang pagtaas ng presyo ng langis. Tuloy-tuloy ang ating ginagawa para maibsan ang bigat sa araw-araw na buhay ng ating mga kababayan.

𝐁𝐈𝐑 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝟏𝟕𝟎𝟏-𝐌𝐒 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐓𝐚𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬

There has been some confusion online about which form Micro and Small individual taxpayers should use for their 2025 Annual Income Tax Return (AITR) due on April 15, 2026.

To clarify, the BIR issued 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 (𝐑𝐌𝐂) 𝐍𝐨. 𝟐𝟎-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 confirming that Micro and Small taxpayers are not limited to Form 1701-MS.

You may file any of the following forms:

𝐁𝐈𝐑 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝟏𝟕𝟎𝟏-𝐌𝐒 – filed manually (since it is not yet available in eBIRForms or eFPS)
𝐁𝐈𝐑 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝟏𝟕𝟎𝟏 – filed electronically via eBIRForms or eFPS
𝐁𝐈𝐑 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝟏𝟕𝟎𝟏𝐀 – filed electronically via eBIRForms or eFPS

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭

If you already filed Form 1701 or 1701A electronically, you do not need to file Form 1701-MS anymore.

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

Annual Income Tax Returns no longer need a “Received” stamp from the BIR.

Your proof of filing will be:
𝐅𝐑𝐍 (Filing Reference Number), or
𝐓𝐑𝐑𝐂 (Tax Return Receipt Confirmation)

Attachments such as AFS and other supporting documents should be submitted through the BIR eAFS system.

𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

Within 15 days after the AITR filing deadline, or within 15 days from filing for late returns.

𝐁𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞

Micro and Small taxpayers are not required to use Form 1701-MS only. You may still file electronically using Form 1701 or 1701A.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially transitioned to a digital-first approach for company monitoring. Effective February 2, 2026, all requests for Company Monitoring Clearance must be processed through the new eWatch Company Monitoring System.
