We're keeping an eye on the weather forecast for the last Junior games of the season tomorrow. 🌧
Home games at Western Ave are very likely to go ahead but obviously if you turn up and it's just not safe to play (flooded fields, lightning, etc), please discuss with the opposition and decide whether to play on (pun intended 😉).
If you have an away game, please check https://www.waibopfootball.co.nz/cancellations in the morning and also directly on the opposing club's socials in case of last minute field closures.

Ōmokoroa FC - Minis: we'll update the Minis FB page before 8am if your session is cancelled.

It was really disappointing to find our goals had been flipped onto their sides overnight, with one of them now broken as a result.

We choose to leave the goals up because we trust our community to look after them and make use of them, not just our own players. We'd love to keep them out for everyone to enjoy, but if this keeps happening we may have to start packing them away after training and games like other clubs do.

If anyone has any information about who did this, we'd like to hear from you. Please get in touch privately.

While we're here, a quick reminder: please don't ride bikes or motorised scooters on the fields. They tear up the grass and wreck our painted lines.

All of this adds up: a broken goal to repair, lines to redo, and packing goals away after every session if it comes to that. It's all more time and cost falling on a volunteer-run club that's here for the community. A bit of care from everyone goes a long way.

A few future NZ sporting legends came in to show off their Player of the Day vouchers and tell us all about their exceptional feats on the pitch!

Great to see the passion that our wee heroes have! Especially how i pull a hamstring merely thinking about running again!

Real pleasure to be supporting the Omokoroa Football club and the Katikati Junior Rugby Club!
