20/12/2025

My good people of Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I, Distinguished elders, respected leaders, vibrant youths, and beloved members of our great constituency …

My name is Rahman Azeez Oluwadamilare, proudly known as RAMAZ, from Igando Oloja, Ward B, in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.

I was born over forty years ago into a family rooted in service and community devotion. I am the son of the late Honourable Rahmon Kayode, a dedicated public servant who represented our constituency with loyalty and commitment in the 4th Assembly, from 1999 to 2003. His legacy of humility, integrity, and love for our people continues to inspire me every day.

Beyond my family background, I stand before you as a successful businessman, a builder of opportunities, and an active grassroots mobilizer who has devoted more than two decades to our great party and to progressive contributions in our wards, communities, and local government. I have grown with you, worked with you, and walked with you through every season of our political journey.

Today, with a heart filled with humility and responsibility,
I offer myself to serve.

I believe the time has come for a fresh phase of leadership, a new wave of energy, and innovative ideas that match the growth and potential of Ibeju-Lekki. Not because previous leaders did not do their best, but because leadership is a relay and every relay needs a smooth transition to sustain progress.

That is why I stand on a simple but powerful message: Let’s Change the Baton.

Let us continue the race of development with renewed strength.
Let us advance our constituency with unity, fairness, and genuine grassroots inclusion.
Let us move forward with leadership that listens, leadership that serves, and leadership that carries everyone along.

I, Ramaz, am ready to serve you with humility, commitment, and a sincere passion for the growth of our constituency.
Together, we can shape a future where every family feels the impact of good governance, steadily, responsibly, and inclusively.

Let us walk this journey together.
Let us dream together.
Let us build together.
And together, let’s change the Baton for a New Leadership Era.

Thank you, and God bless Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I.

JUMAH MUBARAK

Dear Good People of Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I,

On this special day, I extend my warm greetings and heartfelt prayers to the good people of Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I.

In this challenging period of insecurity across our dear country, it is important that we intensify our prayers and remain steadfast in faith. As citizens, we have a collective responsibility to stand united, support our country, and pray sincerely for peace, stability, and progress.

Being a Muslim, Allah has blessed Friday, Yawm al-Jumu’ah above all other days. It is a day of mercy, forgiveness, and answered supplications. Let us make the best use of this special day to seek Allah’s forgiveness, pray for our families, our community, and our nation. Allah has promised that when we seek His forgiveness sincerely, He will open the doors of blessings and ease for us.

Let us also remember our duty to guide our children, teach them discipline, and steer them away from violence and harmful groups. A peaceful society begins with the values we instill in our homes. A nation stands strong not only because of its leaders, but through the support, prayers, and positive contributions of its citizens.

As I continue to offer myself in service and aspire to represent you in the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2027, my commitment remains rooted in building on the achievements of our past leaders while introducing new, progressive ideas that align with the developmental vision of Lagos State and the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr. President.

Before the next election, let us continue to support our leaders with prayers, from our Local Government Chairman to our Honourable Assembly Members, Reps member, our Distinguished Senator, our Governor, and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. They all need our prayers for wisdom, protection, and successful completion of their tenures.

Let us avoid condemning this country called Nigeria. This is the only home we have. Instead, let us speak life into Nigeria, support our leaders, and continue to pray for a better tomorrow.

With our renewed hope in Ramaz, in our Governor, and in Mr. President, progress is not just possible, it is assured.

JUMAH MUBARAK.

Motorists, Residents Appreciate Senator Tokunbo Abiru As Contractor Begins Palliative Work On 32-Km Ikorodu-Itokin Road, Ahead Of Major Rehabilitation

The stabilisation of the 32-km Ikorodu-Itokin Road has started ahead of the major rehabilitation of the critical road that connects Lagos, Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Leeki to other parts of Nigeria. The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, facilitated the project.

Senator Abiru who expressed concern for the difficulties faced by motorists and residents using the corridor commended the Contractor for initiating palliative work on the road to alleviate the suffering of residents, commuters, and motorists while awaiting the start of the rehabilitation, which is expected to begin very soon.

The Ikorodu-Itoikin Road was constructed in 1975 by Taylor Woodrow, under the regime of General Yakubu Gowon. This is the first major rehabilitation of the road since it was built almost 50 years ago.

Palliative materials like hardcore rocks, stonebased and other construction stabilisation materials are being applied on failed sections of the road to ease movement. The palliative work had been carried out on critical sections at Itoikin, Agbowa. Construction workers are currently working at Imota, after Parks and Gardens Estate. Before the end of the week, the work is expected to advance to Isiu, Ikorodu North Headquarters. The work will terminate at Sabo, Ikorodu.

Recall that in April, 2021, Senator Abiru raised motion on the floor of the Nigerian Senate on, “The Urgent Need For The Rehabilitation Of The Ikorodu-Sagamu And Ikorodu-Itoikin- Epe Roads To Further Bridge The Infrastructure Gap And Enhance Economic Growth In Nigeria”.

In December 2022, the Lagos East Senator paid a courtesy visit to Honourable Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN at his office in Abuja to show appreciation for his efforts on two critical Federal roads : Ikorodu- Itoikin Road and Ikorodu/ Sagamu Road.

During the courtesy call, Senator Abiru extended the gratitude of Constituents of the Lagos East Senatorial District to the minister for his efforts over the accelerated construction of Ikorodu- Sagamu Road and the planned rehabilitation of 32-Km Ikorodu-Itoikin Road which had been approved by the Federal Executive Council.

07/05/2023

My Dear Constituent,

I want to take this opportunity to share with you the progress made in fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to me through your mandate. As your representative at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly (the Senate), it has been my privilege to serve you, and I am proud to report on the achievements we have accomplished together.

I have strived to provide effective and quality representation with integrity, passion, loyalty, and commitment, leveraging all the experience, competences, and relationships that I have garnered over three (3) decades as an economist, chartered accountant, banker, and CEO. In spite of the limitation of time and personal resources, I have in the last two (2) years as a Senator vigorously pursued the fulfilment of my mandate and the promises I made to you, my people, under three (3) broad pillars: Legislative, Empowerment, and Facilitation.

LEGISLATIVE PILLAR:
Under this pillar, I have sponsored about 12 bills and 4 motions, including the high-impact Copyright Bill 2021 (Repeal and Re-enactment), which has been passed by both the Senate and the House of Representatives, and the Franchise Regulation Bill 2022, which has gone through a public hearing. I moved the motion to expedite the on-going rehabilitation of the Ikorodu-Shagamu road, and the effort I made led to the fast-tracking of the rehabilitation of the road from the 22% achievement it was in October 2021 to its current 80% completion.

FACILITATIONS PILLAR:
I have been able to facilitate the completion of the following projects for the benefit of my constituents:

ENTREPRENEURSHIP
I have instituted the following economic programmes to improve the economic livelihood of my constituents:

3. Financial grant of N50, 000 each to 1,250 market women to support their businesses across the 16 LGAs/LCDAs in the district.

ENDOWMENT PILLAR:
Through my foundation, the Tokunbo Abiru Constituency Team (TACT) Foundation, I partnered with Co-creation Hub (Cc-HUB), a renowned innovation and technology and social capital enterprise company based in Lagos, to set up a Community Innovation Hub, known as the Senator Abiru Innovation Lab (SAIL), to train youths and entrepreneurs in the senatorial district on relevant digital and innovation skills that will improve and upgrade their skills and competencies to compete in the global age of technology and innovation. SAIL, the Innovation Lab, which is the first of its kind in Lagos East Senatorial District, currently runs the following five (5) pilot programmes:

Tech Talent Development is aimed at identifying young people who are interested in a technology-driven career.

Lagos East Teachers’ Fellowship - a programme aimed at equipping our teachers with new skills that will lead to better learning outcomes.

BUSINESS 101 FOR ARTISANS AND CREATIVES -
This programme is designed for creative startups in the fashion, crafts, or design sectors in order to upscale the approach to business in a fast-evolving world. Since its inception, we have trained 200 participants free of charge, made provisions for their daily feeding, and also given stipends for commuting. The programme is designed for a period of between 3-6 months, with the goal of running two streams per year. The expected outcome is for our youth to get jobs and be globally competitive entrepreneurs.

Other programmes under the endowment pillar include:

COVID-19 Relief Scheme through direct cash transfers of N5, 000 each on a monthly basis to over 2500 vulnerable people since January 2021. A total of over N150 million has been disbursed to date.

Yearly bursaries of N50,000 each are awarded to six hundred (600) brilliant indigent students enrolled in our tertiary institutions.

Conclusion
Once again, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support and trust in me. It is a great honour to have been re-elected as your senator, and I am committed to serving you with renewed dedication and enthusiasm. I am dedicated to being accessible and responsive to your needs and concerns, and I am eager to collaborate with you to achieve even greater progress for Lagos East and to ensure that we achieve greater good for a larger number.

Pls, find below the pictorial evidence of the achievements we have accomplished together.
