Jocelyn Ong I believe in striking a balance between our family and work, spending golden moments with our loves. Having the best of both worlds is not a fantasy.

It can be realized with the well-rounded planning of our life. I joined the financial services industry in 2007, aspiring to help people from all walks of life gain clarity with their financials and achieve their goals in life. As a holistic wealth planner, it is heartwarming whenever my clients see the importance of having their wealth protected through life insurance or other instruments. Becaus

e I have benefited from it, where my mom passed away many years back, I truly believed in having a sound financial plan to protect ourselves and our loved ones. Hi, my name is Jocelyn Ong, and above is my short story. Do you want to know more about how I may help you achieve your financial goals and have peace of mind?

Happy Tuesday !

I want to share something T sent to me this morning.

"This is my hard-earned money. And I've officially become a millionaire."

She sent me a screenshot. Portfolio value: RM1,025,267.68.

I've known T for 19 years. When she first came to me, she was in her 20s. She had just found out that the RM100,000 she placed in a Fixed Deposit — her mother's insurance money, meant for her siblings' tuition — had been split without her fully understanding. Half in FD. Half in unit trusts. She only found out a year later.

She got lucky. The returns were good. But it shook her.

When she came to me, she kept it simple. She said she just wanted something safe.

So we started with RM500 a month. That's it.

No big lump sum. No windfall. Just RM500, every month, reviewed and adjusted as life changed.

Mid-40s now. 19 years of consistency. And she's crossed a million.

I'm not sharing this to impress you. I'm sharing it because I think a lot of people are sitting on the same question she had — "Is this even possible for me?"

It is. But it starts with a conversation, not a calculator.

If you've been thinking about this, I'm happy to sit down with you and map it out. No obligation. Just a proper chat.

Drop me a message if you're keen.

Good day everyone!

Grateful for the opportunity to visit 448 Foodbank Johor yesterday as part of my business research.

During the visit, something meaningful happened. When the person in charge learned about my background, he shared that the MDRT Foundation had recently contributed USD 7,500 to support their work. I could see how genuinely appreciative he was—and it made me pause for a moment.

Nowadays, many people are seen as chasing money and recognition. Yet moments like this remind me of a different truth—we are all in a position, in our own way, to give, to serve, and to make a difference.

That is the spirit of MDRT, and I’m proud to be part of it.

Over time, I’ve come to realise—I’m not just pursuing a “rich life”, but a “wealthy life”.

A wealthy life is not only about money.
Yes, money matters—it helps us meet needs and create choices.
And at the same time, true wealth also includes:
• our health
• our relationships with family and friends
• our contribution to the community
• our inner peace and spiritual well-being

So here’s a gentle question for all of us:
Are we being responsible to ourselves?

Work when it’s time to work,
Rest when we need to rest,
Appreciate life as it is,
And be kind to people around us.

Let’s continue to grow, and at the same time, reach out whenever we can.

If you would like to know more or support them, here is the link we visited yesterday:

Happy Sunday !

How is everyone’s preparation for the upcoming Raya and holidays going? I was just sitting here having my breakfast and doing some reflection.

I was thinking about how we all feel that "pre-holiday" vibe—maybe a bit tired, or even feeling a little lazy and not quite in the mood to start yet?

It’s a very human feeling. But I noticed something interesting: even when we feel lazy, we still find the energy to plan beautiful things for our loved ones for the festive season. Why? Because that is a commitment we’ve made in our hearts.

It made me wonder... how do we choose to bring that same level of commitment to our work?

Sometimes, it’s easy to let excuses fill the space where our results should be. But at the end of the day, we are the ones responsible for what we have—or don’t have.

What we are doing today is simply the seed of what we will be holding tomorrow. Just sharing some Sunday thoughts with you all. Let's look at our commitments and see what we want to harvest next.

Enjoy your Sunday with your families!

Love you all.

Hi all, Happy Wednesday !

Something you may not know about me...

Many people know me as a CFP, IFP, NLP Coach or trainer.
But I’ve also been a Registered Estate Negotiator (REN) since 2016.

I don’t always highlight this because I don’t see myself as someone who “sells property.”
I see myself as someone who helps clients make the right financial decisions.

Property is a powerful wealth-building tool —
when it fits your overall financial strategy.

Over the years, many clients approach me wanting to start financial planning.
Some say they want to buy a house for appreciation or passive rental income.

Property can be good.
But only if it matches:

• Your risk profile (Can you handle the market swings?)
• Your cash flow strength (Is your emergency fund ready?)
• Your long-term goals (Does this tie up your capital for too long?)
• Your lifestyle vision(Does it fit your future plans?)

For example:

A RM300,000 condo.
Projected rental RM2,000.
Loan installment RM1,700.

It may sound like “only top up a bit and you get a free house.”

But have we considered:
• What if there’s no tenant for 6 months?
• Maintenance, legal fees, management fees?
• Opportunity cost of that RM1,700 monthly commitment?

The real question is not whether property is good or bad.
The real question is whether it is suitable for you right now?

Sometimes property is the right move.
Sometimes other investment strategies may serve you better.

That’s why I always start with clarity first — not product first.

If you need guidance — whether it’s property or other financial planning — I’m happy to journey with you.

Love always

So happy to see them shine on stage.

There is a moment —
when your mentee stands on stage, confident and grounded —
and something inside you softens…
while something else quietly rises at the same time.

Tahniah Elaine Aisyah
Tahniah Fiona Qadijah Ng

As I watched both of them under the lights, my heart felt 澎湃,五味參雜.
Pride. Gratitude. Joy.
And a deep, quiet fulfilment that words can barely hold.

Because when your mentees step forward like this,
you don’t just see who they are today —
you see every step they took to become this version of themselves.

This was never an easy journey.
From the corporate world,
to redefining identity,
to growing into a professional advisor —
it takes courage, consistency, and inner work that few ever witness.

People see 3 minutes on stage.
But behind those 3 minutes are many years of learning, falling, rising, doubting — and choosing to continue.

And this is why mentoring matters so deeply to me.

Because when one person grows,
they don’t just transform their career —
they expand what’s possible for others too.

Well done, both of you.
May this moment anchor deeply in your hearts,
as a reminder of how far you’ve come.

And to those quietly watching from afar —
if something stirred inside you as you read this…
perhaps your own journey is already calling.

Let’s continue to inspire.
Let’s grow together.
And together, we grow ❤️

Happy Graduation!

Today marks the completion of our final discussion and brainstorming session for 2025 — and together, we’ve shaped a powerful, purpose-driven direction for 2026.

This year has been nothing short of extraordinary.
We groomed MDRT achiever, Gold Club Members, leaders who broke personal records, and new advisors who stepped into their highest potential.
Even our newest associates unlocked breakthroughs beyond expectations.

Well done, everyone.
I’m deeply proud of how far we’ve come — and even more excited about the heights we’re about to reach.

This is a question we hear all the time.
“How do you excel in risk management… investment planning… and estate planning?”

The truth is simple — yet often overlooked:

Hi all, Happy 27th!

Many friends always ask me:

“Jo,you’re a non-Muslim, Chinese-educated, Malay not strong…
how did you enter the Islamic market?”

I always smile — because the truth is much simpler than you imagine.

I got my Islamic license back in 2007.
But I wasn’t fluent, I wasn’t confident… I just started.
Step by step, the market opened — because I was willing to open my heart first.

And here is the real truth:
You don’t need perfect Malay.
You don’t need special contacts.
You just need willingness to begin.

只要你愿意开始,市场自然会打开。

People don’t buy language.
People buy sincerity, trust, and intention to help.

If someone like me —
Chinese-educated, non-Muslim — can build a strong Islamic market,
you can too.

And today, the door is wide open for you.

🚀 As-Salihin is offering a rare promotion: ONLY RM800 for the IEP license
(Usual RM1800)

This is your chance to:
- tap into a high-demand, stable market
- build a long-term recurring income
- empower Muslim families with proper knowledge

create a new direction for yourself

If your heart is moving…
心动不如行动。

Take the first step.
Start first — the rest, let me and my team ERA Advisory guide you.
We train you.
We support you.
We build the market together.

PM me if you want:
✨ direction
✨ guidance
✨ income growth
✨ a bigger market
✨ or simply a new beginning

This opportunity won’t repeat.
But opportunities always belong to the ones who start.

Love you all

I had a heavy weekend…
But it was a heavy with love and warmth

I attended my late beloved auntie’s funeral.
It was serene, quiet, and peaceful — a beautiful farewell.
Family members came from everywhere,
and it felt like a big family gathering bonded by love.

As I stood at BY’s (Late Auntie Belinda) funeral,
in the quiet serenity of that moment,
I realized something powerful —
when someone leaves with love,
they don’t disappear…
they expand in our memories,
in our hearts,
in the spaces they once touched.

Although it was a farewell,
it felt like a homecoming —
a reminder of how one person’s presence
can unite an entire family across time and distance.

BY,
even after migrating to the USA for more than 20 years,
remained the spirit of the family —
the one who always gathered us,
the one who always made time to come back,
the one whose love felt so natural
that we often forgot
how extraordinary she truly was.

And even when she wasn’t feeling well…
she chose to come home
for one last visit.
That… is love in its purest form.

BY,
may you rest in peace.
May your soul journey to the Western Pure Land
surrounded by light, freedom, and joy.
Your kindness, your teachings, your presence —
they live in us now,
and they will continue to guide us
in ways words cannot fully describe.

Life has a way of reminding us
that warmth still exists.
After the funeral,
my dad lost his phone at the RnR.
When we returned the next day,
a staff member handed it back to us
with simple honesty.
A small act,
yet in that moment
it felt like the universe whispering…
“Love is still here.”

So yes…
it was a heavy weekend.
A weekend of loss,
of love,
of gratitude,
and quiet miracles.
A weekend that reminded me
that even in endings…
there is warmth.
There is connection.
There is love.

Love you all

Happy 11.11 — The Day of Irresistible Deals!

Have you bought anything yet?

I have two clients who always make me smile — because every 1.1, 2.2, 3.3… all the way to 12.12, they never miss a sale day!

Client A — in her early 30s, a smart shopper and an even smarter planner.
She keeps a “wish list” on her phone — complete with priorities and a monthly budget.
Every sale day, she checks if any of her planned items are discounted — and grabs them!
That’s how she saves smart while still enjoying life.
This morning, she happily text me, she got her gym equipment for RM520 instead of RM790.
That’s what I call intentional spending with purpose.

Client B, also in his 30s, loves browsing Shopee, Lazada, and Taobao.
He keeps what I call a “mental list” — things floating in his mind that he might want.
So whenever a sale comes, his cart fills up fast!
Once, he proudly showed me his “battle trophies” — 100 containers from Taobao because they were too cheap to resist!

In NLP, we say — there’s no right or wrong, only different perspectives.
Both find joy in buying — but one buys with intention, the other with impulse.

As a financial planner who applies NLP, I truly believe:
From impulse buying to intentional living — that’s where real financial freedom begins.

And yes, I joined the 11.11 spirit too — not just for shopping, but for investing.
Just topped up RM3,000 into my PRS (Private Retirement Scheme) this morning.

If you haven’t done yours yet — PM me.
Let’s make sure your future self will thank you for the choices you make today.

Enjoy shopping.
Enjoy investing.
Because at the end of the day — we paint our own future.

Love you all

I Play Hard, and I Work Smart and Hard

After a fun weekend getaway, we only got home near 2am — because as parents, we make sure our kids never ponteng school. That’s what responsibility means to me — showing up, no matter what.

By 9am, I was already in our weekly team meeting — brainstorming case studies, exchanging insights, and learning together.
It reminded me again why I love what I do. When your work aligns with your purpose, even a full day feels fulfilling instead of draining.

Later in the day, I thought I’d slow down a little… but ended up assisting a few clients with ad-hoc enquiries and reviews instead.
That’s the beauty of this career — we don’t just manage numbers; we show up for people when they need us most.

Of course, I couldn’t do it all alone.
Grateful for my amazing assistant who supports me behind the scenes — and my family who always has my back. Because success is never a solo journey.

I play hard because I believe in celebrating life.
I work smart and hard because I believe in growth and responsibility.

To me, success isn’t about doing everything perfectly —
It’s about seeing my team learn, my clients being helped, and my kids growing up with the right values.
That’s the kind of wealth I want to build — meaningful, balanced, and real.

If you’re someone who believes in purposeful work, who loves helping others while creating a life of freedom and meaning — let’s have coffee.
Sometimes one heartfelt conversation can change your direction entirely.

Together, we grow.

With love, always.

06/11/2025

Someone asked me,

“Hey Jocelyn, are you doing estate planning for Muslims too?”

For a moment, I smiled in silence.
Not because I was unsure —
but because sometimes, people only see a small part of what we do.

For almost 20 years in this industry — and 16 years serving the Islamic market —
I’ve been guiding families of all faiths to protect, grow, and pass on their wealth meaningfully.
Not just through estate planning, but also through risk management, investments, and holistic financial planning.

To me, this isn’t something to show off —
it’s something I deeply believe in.
Because as Malaysians, we live in a beautiful, multi-racial country.
Only by understanding and respecting one another can we truly live in harmony, under one roof, as one nation.

So, if you have friends —
Muslim or non-Muslim
who wish to bring clarity, structure, and peace of mind to their financial journey,
I’ll be honoured to help.

Together, we can go far.

Love you all.

05/11/2025

Success is not by accident — it’s the result of consistent practice, thoughtful planning, and purposeful ex*****on.

“生老病死”
Birth, Aging, Sickness, and Death
are stages that none of us can escape, whether we like it or not.

And today, I was reminded once again of how closely my work connects me to all four.

生 (Birth / Growth)
This morning, a client called me excitedly —
she’s about to settle both her housing and car loan this week, thanks to the financial plan we built together years ago.
No news could be happier than this
It reminded me why I do what I do —
to see someone’s financial burden lifted and replaced by freedom.
When we first met 11 years ago (referred the company), she was unsure where to begin.
Today, she stands tall — confident, debt-free, and thriving.
Congratulations, you deserve this success.

老 (Aging)
Another client, whom I’ve known for over 20 years, called to review his family’s protection and estate plan.
Our relationship spans three generations — from his mother, to him, and now his children.
This is not just “business”; this is legacy.
When clients trust me to walk alongside their family through time —
it’s the greatest form of respect and connection.
Thank you for believing in me.

病 (Sickness)
Client C called earlier.
We only met once — she had an orphan policy that I took over.
She reached out as she prepares for surgery, seeking guidance and support.
At that moment, I realized — she remembered me when she needed help most.
That, to me, is the highest encouragement as a financial planner. Because real service is remembered when it matters most.

死 (Death)
Client Z called to inform me his father passed away last week.
He needed help with the claim.
Though we’ve never met in person, over the years he would occasionally text for small servicing matters.
And when life’s final chapter arrived — he knew who to call.
That moment reminded me of the true purpose behind what we do —
to bring peace in moments of loss.

Today, in just one day —
I witnessed 生老病死 all in different forms.
And I felt grateful, emotional, and deeply grounded once again.

Life is short.
Cherish every phase.
Plan ahead — not because we fear uncertainty,
but because we deserve to live each moment fully, with peace of mind.

Financial planning isn’t about numbers —
it’s about clarity, confidence, and continuity in every season of life.
With a proper plan, we can live without fear —
because what can be transferred, need not be worried about.

To all my friends reading this —
no matter what stage of life you’re in now,
start your financial planning journey today.
Whether you engage a planner or explore it yourself,
just start.

LIVE fully.
LEAVE no regret.

Love you all
