With deep sorrow, we share the passing of Mrs. H. Valliammal (aged 93), *beloved mother of our partner CA K. B. Hari Hara Subramanian* (98955 56952) of Babu A. Kallivayalil & Co., Ernakulam/Thiruvananthapuram. She left for her heavenly abode today, 20th August 2025, in Mumbai.

The *funeral service will be held tomorrow, 21st August 2025, at the residence of her son in Mumbai*.

We request you to keep the bereaved family in your prayers and join us in seeking eternal peace for the departed soul. May she rest in peace.

It is with deep disappointment that I note the Central Government’s decision to withdraw the Income Tax Bill, 2025, as announced in Parliament just an hour ago.
It appears that over 400 amendments were proposed by the Government itself, which may have contributed to this withdrawal. One hopes that the extensive efforts and inputs provided by ICAI in the re-drafting and consultation process will still serve their intended purpose.

A Farewell from the Heart

Today, at Chennai, our Honourable President along with Vice- President paid his last respects to our beloved past president, CA. T. N. Manoharan. As we gathered around in solemn silence, the air was heavy with emotion and gratitude — a reflection of how deeply he touched the lives of all who knew him.

In this moment of farewell, we offer more than just tributes; we honour the legacy of a towering figure — a true stalwart of our profession, a visionary, a mentor, and a statesman whose wisdom shaped generations. His calm presence, principled leadership, and relentless pursuit of excellence will remain etched in the soul of our Institute forever.

As we bow our heads in reverence, we also raise our hearts in gratitude for a life that uplifted the profession and inspired countless members. May his memory continue to guide us.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our revered Past President, CA. T.N. Manoharan, whose unwavering commitment, humility, and leadership enriched the profession and inspired many.
His mortal remains will be kept for public homage at his residence on Thursday, 31st July 2025, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Address: No. 2, C.P. Ramaswamy Street, Off Abiramapuram 4th Street, Chennai – 600018.

The final rites will be conducted at the residence on the same day.
The funeral procession will leave for the crematorium at 3:00 PM.

With profound grief and a heavy heart, we share the devastating news of the sudden and untimely passing of our beloved past president, Padma Shri CA. T.N. Manoharan, earlier today in Mumbai following a massive heart attack.

CA. Manoharan was not only a towering figure in our profession but also a true statesman of our nation. His wisdom, humility, and unwavering integrity inspired generations of Chartered Accountants. He was a remarkable ambassador of the profession, earning respect and admiration across the globe.

His passing is an irreparable loss—not just to the professional fraternity, but to the nation at large. Let us come together in prayer and extend our deepest condolences to his bereaved family during this time of immense sorrow.
