Ebor Trucks are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced mechanic to join our team based in a modern workshop at Acaster Malbis, York. As a skilled Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and routine servicing of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV), Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) and Trailers.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work within a team and be able to tackle all aspects of vehicle repair and servicing. You must also possess a wide range of technical skills and hold a full and valid UK driving license (HGV/PSV licence an advantage)
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
• The servicing, repair and maintenance of Heavy Goods Vehicles, Light Commercial Vehicles and Trailers.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical defects on all types of vehicles.
• Pre MOT preparation and inspection
• Breakdown/site work when required
• Other varied and interesting challenges.

Ebor Trucks are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice mechanic to join our team based in a modern workshop at Acaster Malbis, York.

The successful applicant will assist with repair, maintenance and routine servicing of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV), Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV), Public Service Vehicle (PSV) and Trailers, as well as being responsible for keeping the garage clean and tidy.

Day release to attend college is included as part of the apprenticeship.

The successful candidate will be fully supported by an experienced and established team and will be keen and willing to learn. A full driving licence would be an advantage but not essential.

Please note Ebor Trucks is situated in a rural location with limited public transport.

If you are friendly with good organisational and communication skills and have a knack for multi tasking then this is the perfect job for you
You will be working in a small office where everything goes on.
Experience in sage accounts and payroll in particular would be a definite advantage
The position includes all aspects of running a busy office and will be your sole responsibility.

Some knowledge of transport would also be an advantage but not necessary.

Duties to include;
Sales / purchase invoicing
Sage accounts and payroll
Bank reconciliation
General office duties
Hours approx 30-40 per week
Pay to be negotiated
As we are not on a bus route transport would be required
