Friends of Holt School is a group of parents/carers/family who are dedicated to raising money for best interests of the children of Holt school through fundraising events. Friends of Holt School is a group of parents/carers/family members who organise events/fundraisers, to assist school with purchases above and beyond normal budgets. Throughout the years various enjoyable events are planned by ou

r hardworking FOHS group – which have gone on to contribute towards the yearly pantomime, coaches, gifts for the children and lots of other activities! It is a great opportunity for parents/carers/family members to become more actively involved in school life and make a difference to the current pupils and beyond. 🌿✨ **Garden on a Plate Competition – Holt Village Fete** ✨🌿

As part of this year’s Holt Village Fete, we’re inviting children aged 0–16 years to take part in our **Garden on a Plate Competition**.

Using a plate or tray no larger than 40cm, create a miniature garden inspired by anything your imagination can dream up. Whether it’s a magical fairy garden, a wildlife haven, a woodland retreat, a seaside scene or even a dinosaur world, we’d love to see your creativity brought to life.

🌱 **Free to enter**
🌱 **Open to children aged 0–16 years**
🌱 **Four age categories:** 0–4, 5–8, 9–12 and 13–16 years
🌱 **A prize will be awarded in each age category**
🌱 **Bring entries by 1:30pm**
🌱 **Collect entries by 5:30pm**

Creations can be made using plants, flowers, natural materials, recycled items and any other imaginative touches. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to showcase their creativity while taking part in one of Holt Village Fete’s most colourful and imaginative competitions.

We can’t wait to see the amazing miniature worlds that appear on the day! 🌸🪴

A massive thank you to Stuart and Jean Jones for coming along today to cut the ribbon for the official reopening of Rebecca’s Garden. 💗

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and show their support. It was so lovely for Stuart and Jean to revisit the garden and to see all the children playing and enjoying the space once again.

We are incredibly grateful for every donation, every hour of time given to the restoration project, and for all the encouragement and support we’ve received along the way. The garden has been lovingly restored so that it can continue to be enjoyed by the children for years to come.

It truly shows what can be achieved when a community comes together to support one another. Thank you all for helping bring Rebecca’s Garden back to its best. 💗🌿

Do you, or someone you know, enjoy community events but appreciate somewhere comfortable to sit and relax during the afternoon? ❤️

At this year’s Holt Village Fete, we are offering a special pre-booked undercover seating area for guests aged 65+ so you can enjoy the event in comfort.

For just £5, guests will receive:

We’re so excited to officially reopen Rebecca’s Memorial Garden 💙🌿

What started as a restoration project has become something truly special, made possible by the incredible support, kindness and community spirit of so many people. From volunteering time and skills, to donations and encouragement — thank you.

Please join us for the official reopening and ribbon cutting ceremony of Rebecca’s garden, as we celebrate everything that’s been achieved together and the beautiful space created for the children of Holt CP School 💛

A MASSIVE thank you to Joe Hughes for so kindly donating the replacement log seating for Rebecca’s Garden 🌿🪵💚

These are such a fantastic addition to the space and the children are going to love them 🥰✨ Whether they’re sitting watching performances on the decking stage 🎭🎶, taking part in outdoor learning 📚🌳, building friendships 🤝 or simply enjoying the garden together ☀️🍃, these logs will be used and appreciated so much for years to come.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Duncan, Ross & Harvey for giving up their time late last night 🌙⭐ to help get everything moved into place for the school 💪🛠️👏 Your support and hard work really does mean so much!
