Just a reminder to all my self assessment clients the deadline for your 2nd payment on account was the 31st July 2025.

If you have not paid yet please do as HMRC will charge interest set at bank of England base rate 8.25% also If your 31st July 2025 payment on account remains unpaid after 30 days HMRC will charge a penalty of 5% of the unpaid tax.

Please avoid the above and make payment.

Crazy fact

In January 2025 , 1.1 million taxpayers missed the self assessment deadline.

That's £110 million in £100 fines that went straight into HMRC pocket.

Don't be part of the next £110 million.

Please get in touch for me to file your 2024-2025 self assessment before the deadline next year it is also always best to file early on and know what your tax and NI bill is going to be.

You can now file your 2024-2025 self assessment and file early.

Filing your tax return now doesnt mean you have to pay earlier. In fact it allows you time to plan and budget for payments ahead of the deadline 31st January 2026.
