If you’re self-employed, a freelancer, or a company director who needs to file a Self Assessment tax return, don’t leave it until the last minute — the deadline for online submissions is 31 January 2026 (and any tax owed must be paid by the same date).

A few quick reminders to make things easier:
✅ Gather your income and expense records early.
✅ Double-check any dividends, interest, or other income outside of PAYE.
✅ Make sure you know your HMRC login details (it’s easy to forget if you only use it once a year!).
✅ If you’re expecting a bill, plan ahead for payments on account.

Getting organised now will save you a lot of stress come January.
