We are looking for a part time motivated accountant to join our team. Ideally AAT qualified/part qualified or equivalent.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their technical accounting skills in a supportive and professional environment, while gaining exposure to a wide range of clients and industries.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies;
• Maintaining accurate financial records, including journals, accruals, and prepayments;
• Carrying out day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero and other bookkeeping software, including bank reconciliations and ledger management, where required;
• Using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting, including formulas;
• Supporting the preparation and submission of VAT returns in line with HM Revenue & Customs requirements, where required;
• Assisting with payroll processing and related compliance tasks, where required;
• Ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work, reviewing data carefully, identifying discrepancies, and meeting deadlines;
