“Why can’t I stop worrying about money?”

Because you’re human.

Financial anxiety affects far more people than you think, even people who appear successful on the outside.

And worrying about money doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is ask questions, get advice, or admit you’re overwhelmed.

You do not have to carry it all on your own. One small action can create a huge sense of relief.

Midweek check-in. How are you really doing?

Not the “I’m fine.”
Not the work answer.
Not the polite answer.

The real answer.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, the theme is Action, and checking in on someone properly can make more of a difference than you realise.

So here’s your reminder to:
💙 Take your lunch break
💙 Go outside for 10 minutes
💙 Message someone back
💙 Ask for help if you need it
💙 Stop putting pressure on yourself to have everything figured out

Small actions still count.

A reminder for anyone who needs it today:

Your worth is not measured by…

❌ Your salary
❌ Your savings
❌ Your house
❌ Your job title
❌ Your productivity

Social media has a funny way of making everyone else look financially “sorted”.

But real life is messy. People are figuring things out behind the scenes every single day.

Be proud of the bills you paid.
The hard week you got through.
The fact that you kept going.

That counts too!

Mental Health Awareness Week starts today.

And if nobody’s said it lately, Money stress is real.

It’s not “just numbers.”
It’s sleepless nights.
Avoiding your banking app.
Putting off opening letters.
Feeling guilty for buying a coffee.
Wondering if everyone else has it figured out.
..they don’t!

This week’s theme is Action, and sometimes the biggest action you can take is talking about it.

Sometimes, an honest conversation can make life feel a little lighter.

For all our new followers - meet Rebecca, the friendly face behind Planit Financial.

Rebecca’s been helping people with their finances since 2001, starting out in commercial banking before moving into advising high-net-worth clients at Coutts. These days, she’s all about making financial advice straightforward and personal, whether that’s helping with their pensions, investments, or financial planning in general.

She’s got a solid background (and quite a few fancy letters after her name) - think degrees in Economics and Finance, Chartered status, and plenty of specialist qualifications. But what really stands out is her approach: practical, down-to-earth advice tailored to what you need.

Outside work, Rebecca gives her time as a Finance Trustee to the Zoological Society of East Anglia across Banham Zoo and Africa Alive, helping guide their growth and financial plans. More recently, she was also involved in the sale of her wider family business through an Employee Ownership Trust, ensuring a smooth exit and a solid succession plan.

If you want someone who knows their stuff but keeps things simple and human, Rebecca’s your go-to.

Our Pension Health Check quiz has revealed some eye-opening stats.

We asked 'How confident are you that your pension is invested appropriately for your goals and risk level?'

👉 55% said they’re not confident at all
👉 32% are somewhat confident
👉 And only 13% feel really confident

Which means most people are either unsure or just hoping it’s doing what it should.

And when you think about it, your pension is your future income. It’s a big deal to feel unsure about it.

So if that sounds like you, you’re definitely not alone. But it might be worth a quick check-in, just to make sure everything’s working the way you need it to.

Take our quick Pension Health Check quiz today and find out how prepared you really are https://getinvolved.planitfinancial.co.uk/pension-health-check

Ever feel like you should have your money sorted by now, but somehow it still feels a bit all over the place?

You’re not alone. Most of the “mistakes” we see aren’t big, dramatic ones. They’re the quiet things, like putting it off, guessing instead of planning, or just hoping it’ll all work itself out.

Life gets busy. Money stuff gets pushed down the list. It happens.

But once you actually sit down and look at it properly, it usually feels a lot more manageable than you expected. A few small tweaks. A bit of clarity. And suddenly things start to feel calmer.

We’ve pulled together some of the most common financial planning mistakes (and how to avoid them) in our latest blog. https://planitfinancial.co.uk/the-biggest-financial-planning-mistakes-people-make-and-how-to-avoid-them/

It’s Stress Awareness Month, so let’s talk about the one thing that quietly sits in the background for a lot of us - money.

For a lot of people, it’s always there in the background, isn’t it? Not full-on panic, just that little ni**le.

The “I should probably sort that…”
The checking your bank app a bit too often
Or sometimes… not checking it at all

It’s more common than you think. And the tricky thing is, the longer it sits there, the heavier it can start to feel.

But it doesn’t have to be a massive overhaul.

Sometimes it’s just:
Getting a bit of clarity
Understanding what’s actually going on
Having a simple plan (nothing fancy)

That alone can take a huge weight off.

No pressure. No judgement. No confusing jargon. Just a bit more control and a bit less stress.

If money’s been sitting in the “I’ll deal with it later” pile, maybe this is your sign to give it 10 minutes of your time. If you want someone to talk it through with, we’re always here for a friendly chat.

It’s a new tax year, and if you’re anything like most people, you’re probably thinking:

“I should know what all this means… but I don’t”

All it really means is everything’s had a little reset. Your allowances. Your limits. Your opportunity to make your money work a bit smarter.

Things like:

What you can put into ISAs
How much you can pay into your pension
All refreshed and ready to go again

And this is the bit most people miss, getting your head around it early can make a big difference later on.

Not in a complicated, spreadsheet-heavy way. Just small, simple decisions that could save you money over the year.

We’ve pulled together a really straightforward guide to what’s changed (and what’s worth knowing) 👉 https://planitfinancial.co.uk/new-tax-year-a-quick-guide-to-your-allowances/

It’s National Pet Month, so naturally, we had to introduce you to Hollie 🐾

Pets and money go hand in hand. Because as much as they’re part of the family, they also come with their own little financial personalities!

Food, insurance, unexpected vet trips, treats (lots of treats), it all adds up. And it’s one of those things people don’t always think about when they’re planning their finances. Not in a scary way, just in a “let’s factor real life in” kind of way.

Because financial planning isn’t just about numbers on a spreadsheet, it’s about your actual life. Your home. Your family. Your dog, who definitely deserves that extra toy.

So if you’ve got a furry friend at home, this is your gentle reminder to make sure they’re part of the plan too.

And if you’re not sure where to start? We’re always up for a chat (bonus points if pets make an appearance).
