Wednesday night, some of the GLX team headed out for our annual Pub and Paddle social in Norwich.

Now in its third year, Pub and Paddle - Canoe Hire in Norwich has become one of our most popular team events.

Despite the day starting with a less-than-promising forecast, we were lucky enough to enjoy a warm, sunny evening paddling along the River Wensum.

Launching at the Ribs Of Beef, we made our way towards Norwich Train Station before paddling back with a pit-stop at The Red Lion Bishopgate along the way, then back to the Ribs of Beef to round off the evening with pizzas on the terrace.

We even finished just in time for the England kick-off (for those who were watching!).

We're already looking forward to our July social, when we'll be back on the water once again, this time for a spot of paddleboarding on the Norfolk Broads in support of Break charity alongside Keeler Recruitment.

The Government has announced that, between 25th June and 1st September 2026, qualifying children's meals, children's admission tickets, and certain family attractions will benefit from a temporary reduction in the VAT rate.
